Three Creative Raw Goddesses... :)

I have three gorgeous raw goddess creative flows to share with you today...

Firstly, our dear friend in California, Shea Lynn Baird, has an absolutely fabulous offer to share with you all...
Some of you will know Shea already, as a superb colon hydrotherapist, long-time raw foodie and host of the free "Monday Night LIVE!" raw food talk sessions at Cafe Gratitude in N. California.
In 2009, Shea and her husband Stephen hosted a free live talk at Cafe Gratitude in Healdsburg EVERY Monday night...and now they're doing it again, all through 2010 ;O That's dedication...
They have hosted many oustanding speakers already and the line-up just keeps on going - this is such a wonderful way to share the raw message.
Shea and Stephen were also kind enough to FILM every single talk that has been shared so far, which equates to over 100 hours of footage already, from speakers such as:

Elaina Love, Laura Fox, Kevin and Annmarie Gianni, Cherie Soria, Dr.Rick Dina, John Kohler, Dr. Doug Graham, Paul Nison, Steve Adler, Jennifer Cornbleet, Bunny Berry, our very selves aaaaaaaand they even hosted four q&a panels with raw chefs, raw doctors and raw athletes...

...and NOW, they are offering "Access All Areas" online passes to anyone who did not make the talks in person, or would LOVE to see them again, so you can view all the footage online - cool :)
They have three options for you, all at extremely reasonable prices, IMO, considering the WEALTH of information these passes will give you access to:

To see more details and to access all these areas, you can visit Shea and Stephen's site HERE - enjoy :)))

Another yummy raw diva friend, Joyce Oliveto, would also love to let y'all know about the upcoming Third Annual Raw Living Health Festival that she is hosting again this year in Brighton, Michigan.
You may recall the lovely Joyce from the series of "Ann Wigmore Retrospective" videos we filmed with her last year - Joyce has been in this movement for decades and has a huge amount to share ;)
The festival this year will be held on Saturday September the 18th, from 10am to 8pm and will feature live raw food demos and sample, live music, wild edible walks, booths, live blood cell analysis, body workers and more - full deets can be found over HERE.

...and remember, a few weeks back I did a whole write-up of the upcoming raw-friendly festies this summer, worldwide - you can check that out HERE...plus some extras HERE too - enjoy :)

Earth Day, Ecuador, Eco-Tours and Eyeball Treats... ;)

Happy Earth Day Everyone :)
We love you Mama Earth <3

On the subject of connecting more directly with our beloved Earth, SO many people have been writing in recently requesting more details abt the community and lifestyle that is arising in Vilcabamba, Ecuador (our future home) and I’m delighted to say that the marvellous Mr. Mike Adams over at NaturalNews.com has a few wonderful new resources to share on this subject.
He will be holding a Vilcabamba real estate tour in June, preceded by an 'Ancient Cities of the Sun' adventure tour. He will also soon be posting "The Immigration & Traveler's Guide to Southern Ecuador" - yeeeeeee-HAH, that's definitely going to make my life easier :) I'll aim to let y'all know when that's ready, if you're not already subscribed to his site ;)
Another member of the Vilcabamba community, Patrick, has made a lovely little 'Valley of Longevity' website with lots of info about the area, longevity, health and resources. You can check that out HERE (apparently Patrick is 80-years-old - WOW ;O...).
We hope to see you all there in Vilcabamba, in May 2010 for the Raw Food World Conference ;)

If you’re located more to right of the Atlantic and would love a fun adventure trip to go and explore, I am SUPER–excited to announce that our dear friends Matt and Lara from Space of Love in the UK are starting to run ‘Anastasia’–inspired eco–tours to Russia this summer :) WOW :) I am actually really sad that I won’t be in Europe to take part – I’ve wanted to go on a trip like this since I first started reading the Anastasia books...I’ve always felt a bit edgy about the idea of going to Russia though, without a single word of Russian lodged in my brain cells ;) Fortunately, Space of Love Matt is FLUENT in Russian, as well as being one of the main distributors of the Anastasia books in Europe and a wonderful permaculturist :) YUMMY :) Click HERE to see all the details and join up (space limited – book soon ;) (P.S. If you’re one of the fortunate yumsters who goes on this tour, please do write and let us know how it goes – I would LOVE to hear/see pics... :)

Here for your eyeball delectation are some of my recent travel pics...

The beautiful blossoms of Portland :)

Many trees in Portland seem to have adapted to powerlines in their paths by growing out to each side - I've never seen this anywhere else before...interesting... ;)

This is what your footprints look like if you wear Vibram FiveFingers Shoes :) Love it ;)

Mr. Monarch bouncing and speaking at our event in Reno.

Tee-heeeeeee - funny sign we saw in Reno ;)

May I Be Frank...?

EXCITING: have you seen anything about the new ‘raw transformation’ documentary that’s in the works called ‘May I be Frank?’? I think it looks GREAT :) One reader, Gina, sent me THIS LINK this week to an article in Ode Magazine about the ‘star’ of the film, Frank Ferrante, who agreed to participate in this ‘sort of reverse Super Size Me’ production, with the assistance of some of those beautiful people from Café Gratitude.
55-year-old Frank’s background involves a working-class Brooklyn upbringing, drug addiction, alcoholism, arrests, periods in mental institutions, suicide attempts, obesity, hepatitis, heavy medications and strained relationships. PHEW...quite a bit to work through then, potentially ;) It looks like it will be a very entertaining, moving and inspiring film, especially to share with loved ones. You can watch the trailer HERE – it’s so well put together – I love it and look forward to seeing the full-length film when it’s ready – ENJOY :)

on August the 19th I had:

1 quart water
3 cups veggie juice: celery, cucumber, fennel, endive, carrot, ginger
2 cups ‘energy soup’ with diced bell pepper and dulse pieces. Followed by a little hazelnut butter mixed with raw carob powder
1 quart water
3 cups veggie juice: celery, cucumber, fennel, endive, carrot, ginger
2 cups ‘energy soup’ with diced bell pepper and dulse pieces. Followed by a bowl of durian/hemp ice cream with lucuma and carob powders – YUM :)
mug of peppermint tea
2 cups water

YUMMY – a fantastic new raw food hangout has opened here in Brighton and I’m VERY excited about it :) It’s called ‘Manna’ and is hosted by the lovely Warren and Andreas. We shimmied along there yesterday to see how things are unfolding in their opening days. I think it is looking very beautiful – a light, bright, welcoming space painted in tranquil greens and yellows, with a generous deli counter packed with fresh greens, musical instruments hanging on the walls for customers to jam with, knowledgeable, friendly service, a lovely garden space with grape vines, a shop space with all kinds of pre-packaged goodies for sale and of course fresh juices, smoothies, raw meals, teas and more. I think this is a VERY exciting development for the UK raw food scene...
We tried the raw ‘burger’ dish and it was truly superlative. The venue has a late license, so the plan is to host events/jam sessions etc in the evenings, which will be such a blessing, to have a ‘clean’ space like this for people to gather and connect. WONDERFUL :)
If you’d love to get on down to Manna, here is the address:

Manna
24 Coombe Road
Brighton
BN2 4EA

You can also see more info at: www.galaxyofvitality.com. Maybe see you there someday soon if you’re in this area ;)

on August the 20th I had:

1 quart water
tbsp spirulina powder with water and lucuma powder
bowl of cherries (ooo la la ;)
double shot of wheatgrass
1.5 cups veggie juice: cucumber, celery, green bell pepper, carrot, ginger
2 cups water
AMAZING raw burger with fresh salad, followed by assorted freeze dried YUMMY fruit pieces (durian, jack fruit, mangosteen) and raw vanilla ice cream – WOW :)
Mug of choco tea and selection of raw chocolates – eeeeeek ;)
3 cups water

on August the 21st I had:

1 quart water
2 cups veggie juice: spinach, watercress, celery, cucumber, fennel, ginger, sunflower greens, endive, carrot
2 cups ‘energy soup’ with coconut chips stirred in and curry powerstix on the side, dipped in hemp butter. Followed by a little rammikin bowl of hazelnut butter mixed with lucuma and carob powders
3 cups water
1.5 cups veggie juice: spinach, watercress, celery, cucumber, fennel, ginger, sunflower greens, endive, carrot
mug of 'choco' tea
2 cups water

OooooooOOOOooo, have you heard about the ‘Healthy Living Eco Fest’ happening soon in Michigan? On September the 20th from 10am-10pm in Brighton, Michigan, there will be a day-long celebration of all things vibrant, fresh and joyful ;) The Monarch and I are both scheduled to speak there, along with Viktoras Kulvinskas, Shantree and Lorenna from the wonderful Living Centre in Canada, plus festie organizer Joyce Oliveto, who worked alongside Ann Wigmore for years. The day will in fact be a kind of ‘tribute’ day to the work and wonders of the Wigster herself – FUN :)
Here’s some of what’s on offer:

*Speakers & booths focusing on Green Living, Healthy Living & Building
*Living Foods Demonstrations
*Animal Health & Healing
*Lectures, Workshops and ongoing demos throughout the day
*Variety of booths with food & drinks—or bring picnic basket
*Drumming around the bonfire
*Tai Chi—Yoga—Massage
*Walking Trails
*Supervised Children’s Area with Activities

The admission fee for the full day is $25 for adults and free for those 16 years and younger ;) You can see full details about the festie HERE.
Hope to see you there too, if you’re in the area...

What Do YOU Love Most About...

I’m VERY excited to announce a new feature here called:

What do you love most about...?

The raw food movement is expanding so rapidly that I find myself often a-gasp with glee at new additions to the raw scene – new websites, restaurants, stories, books, foods, blogs, films, festivals...this glorious family is just so magnificently abundant with creativity and yummy flow...
In honour of all this, I’ve decided to create a new feature on this blog to celebrate all things raw-ly wonderful :)
There are SO many different raw resources out there these days and even if you don’t agree with EVERYTHING about some raw-related person, place or product, there is nearly always SOMETHING about what they offer, which you can pinpoint that resonates for you...that’s what we wanna know about ;) Let’s keep on bigging up the love and gratitude in this amazing network of people who are bringing forth so much light for the planet...
Here’s how it works...

*I’ll post here what I love most about the chosen raw-tastic person, place, object or similar...
*YOU are welcomed to post a comment to this blog letting everyone know what YOU love most about this raw-markable offering to the world...
*We keep on collectively spreading the love and appreciation :)

You might share about your favourite experience with that person/place/thing, your impression of their impact on the world, what you most appreciate about their contribution to spreading the raw message and so on.
If you’re not familiar with the person/place/thing in question, you could always check the link to their site and see if you’d like to share anything about your first impression of what they’re offering...
You can share as much or little as you like – all comments offered with love are welcomed ;)
In this spirit of love and thanks, it seems appropriate to start off this new feature by bigging up the majesty of: Café GRATITUDE :)

What I love most about Café Gratitude is...

The coconut crème pie. :O RIDICULOUSLY, outrageously, absurdly good...

Now, over to you – what do YOU love best abt Café Gratitude...?
(Don’t worry if you’re not sure yet how to post a blog comment – detailed instructions can be found below... ;)

on July the 6th I had:

WOW. I had an amazing detox release experience this afternoon :) An ‘ancient’ fat cyst on my back suddenly opened and released its contents. :O Now, once again, this may all be TMI for some people – if so, please feel free to skip this section ;)
I believe this occurred as a result of the very simple, very ‘greeeeeeen’/alkalising way I’m eating at the moment – as you can see from my daily food logs, it’s pretty much green juices and green/fat energy soups going into my system at the moment. As a result, my body has more space/energy to divert into ‘cleaning house’ and seems to be getting to it ;) I suddenly felt an itch on my back this afternoon, went to investigate and found I’d scratched a cyst open. It emptied out a whole little sack of fatty white waste – rather like a little lump of lard ;) LOL...I found myself simultaneously revolted and enthralled ;)
Those of you who have heard me give a raw food talk before may have heard me speaking about the random benign fat cysts that are still on my scalp. There are at least 5 of them sitting there and I’m always curious to see when they might also be released...well, let’s see if there’s any movement up there too in the coming days/weeks... ;)

One love,
Angelaaaaaaaaaaaa. xxx
