WOW...I guess you guys *love* Ani Phyo as much as we do :) Last month's RawReform giveaway contest to win a copy of Ani's latest book had the biggest response we've EVER seen for a contest ;) Love it...

We asked you to send in your A to the following Q to be in with a chance of winning: "What is *your* 'essential' raw food recipe that you love to make?" and you responded by the 100s to let us in on your raw kitchen tips and favourites...
I am delighted to say that the winner of the book, chosen at random, is Kyoko, who sent in the following recipe:

"My name is Kyoko, and I have been on a 100% raw food diet since January, 2009, and I've learned a lot about preparing simple, tasty, wonderful raw food meals for myself and for my house mates.

My essential raw food recipe is the 'Buckwheat Crispy' treats I eat as snacks and on my travels.  I'm sure a lot of raw food eaters are familiar with this type of simple recipe.
All the ingredients are organic.

2 cups Hulled Buckwheat
1/2 C.  pumpkin seeds
1/2 C.  sunflower seeds
1/2 C.  each of Golden raisins, Goji berries, and Inca berries
optional:  seasonal fruits of your choice

Soak buckwheat and seeds in a bowl over night.  Rinse it and drain the water.  Let them sprout for a day or two as you rinse a few more times in between.

Soak the raisins and berries in a glass jar.

Put the sprouted mixture in the dehydrator for 5 - 8 hours depending on how dry you'd like.  They will come out very crispy and crunchy.  Offer a small portion to God (I call him, 'Baba'), and put it back in the big batch.  Store the mixture in a glass jar.

For enjoying as a morning cereal or afternoon snack, I add the soaked raisins and berries on top, some protein powder, Chlorella, cinnamon powder (about a teaspoon!), some
Himalayan salt, a banana or a ripe avocado (both if I am really in the mood) and some chunks of coconut butter.  If I wanted to take more liquid in a day, I put warm water and let everything soak for half an hour or more.  I mix everything and it looks like a big green goo which tastes more like an ice cream treat!

This has been my staple for a quick meal, in between snack or at the airport.  I have shared this recipe with non-raw food eaters, and everyone loves it!  It's easy to make and very enjoyable.

Thank you for all you do, Angela!

Kyoko from San Francisco
"

THANKS Kyoko...and thanks indeeeeeed to alllll of you who sent in such exciting, effervescent and essential recipes... your book is on its way to you now Kyoko - enjoy :) ...and if *you* weren't the blessed winner this time round, you can still order Ani's yummy new book from HERE if you like...

All love and revolutionary refinement...

I am excited to see this, as I've long felt there was a gap in the market in the UK for SAVOURY raw items to 'grab and go' at health stores - it seems like there's tonnes of raw chocolates there and not much savoury stuff, so...HURRAY for this new line ;)
You can check out the products at GourmetRaw.com and you can also suggest a health food store where you would love to get these new gems, HERE.

All blissings,
