Vilcabamba Raw Food Gathering Starts in 1 Week :)

OoooOOOOOooo lala...'tis but a week now until the beginning of the intended Raw Food Gathering here in Vilcabamba, Ecuador on May 1st... ;O Here are some 'opening party' deets from the rawinecuador.ning.com site, for anyone who still might love to come down and play:

"Opening Party at Papayas Cafe

On the opening day of the Raw Food Gathering, everyone is welcomed to the Grand Opening of the new Papayas Cafe in Vilcabamba :)

Papayas Cafe is a new raw-friendly eatery in town, located right opposite the Vilcabamba bus station.

From 3-7pm on May the 1st, Papayas will open its doors for the first time and everyone is welcome to come along, connect and kick-start the gathering together...

Entrance to the party is free, with raw drinks and desserts available for purchase.

We look forward to connecting with you all there :)))"

No-one really knows how many people will actually be here for this free-flow gathering, though there are currently around 300 members of the Ning site - it looks like it's going to be *fun* - raw chocolate parties, yoga sessions, handicraft tours, hikes, horse rides, raw food classes, song circles...our possibilities are endless... :) Check out rawinecuador.ning.com for more info...

One reader, Colleen, wrote in recently saying she'd love to share a yummy recipe that she's developed recently with y'all. The recipe is for...keeping the bowels moving ;) lol... Here's her message:

"I am a new raw foody after doing a massive raw detox and found by accident a yummy recipe for keeping the bowels moving. I don't have a website of my own or a show so I thought if i passed this onto you you could share it with those who need some help in the bowel department :) It's nice and simple... just soaked chia seeds, mixed with prune paste (prunes and a bit of water blended up together...) and some slippery elm powder. It becomes a fruity, nutty, yummy dessert that also soothes the digestive tract and helps with elimination. I have had digestive problems, depression, the usual problems associated with poor diet (I was a cheese on toast type of vegetarian since I was 13) for many years but lately have felt the calling for better health, which, like you and Matt, has helped changed my life and I am meeting more and more inspiring people since choosing this journey. I appreciate your input into helping others become more self-aware in what they eat etc so here's a gift recipe back :)

with reikified love and gratitude,
Colleen McKendry Davies :)"

NICE, enjoy that one, dear readers ;)

All love,
A.C.SM.MA.Hons. xxx
