Are You Ready To Explore Your "Raw Emotions" With a Study Group...?

I am REALLY excited to share my latest project with y'all...I have set up a "Raw Emotions Study Group", which will convene once a week for an hour to read aloud and discuss my book "Raw Emotions" :)
I've been wanting to read over this book again myself and thought it would be fun to do so in a group context, so that we can share our insights, tales and inspirations on topics such as emotional eating, overeating, obesity, addictions, following our bliss in life and much more... Are you willing and ready to invest an hour of your time each week into exploring these areas together....? ;)

The study group will start on June the 7th and meet each consecutive Tuesday for as long as it takes us to read the whole book. Each hour-long session will involve approximately 40 minutes of me reading live from the book, via a private Ustream broadcast, then for the remaining 20 minutes or so, we'll share a streaming discussion via the "ch
screen shot 2011-04-25 at 12.01.42 pm.pngat" feature of Ustream.
There are three ways to sign up for this group and get involved - you can choose to simply join the live meetings, OR join the meetings plus receive an ebook version of the book, OR join the meetings plus receive a physical copy of the book. You can check out all the details and get signed up for this fun exploratory event HERE - we look forward to sharing this journey with you... :)

*Apologies* to all of you on our live call with the lovely Nadine Artemis on Friday evening when our Ecuadorian internet suddenly tanked and has yet still to resurface as I write this on Sunday afternoon, almost two full days later... (Easter weekend in Catholic country = no-one at work in internet company, apparently ;)
Right now we are gratefully connected online for a short time via a friend's generous line-sharing...and we *hope* to be back online again as usual by tomorrow...whereupon we can hopefully reschedule the call with the gracious Nadine ;)
The first 15 minutes of call time that we were able to enjoy together were GREAT, so here's looking forward to the next installment...you can sign up for access at http://www.TheRawFoodWorldRadioShow.com if you're not already signed up for call info for this interview...

Also, remember that the RawReform Giveaway Contest prize this month is a gift pack of gorgeous skin care goodies from Nadine too - see HERE for more info...

Three Goddess Event Offerings...

Today I would love to let you know about a few different gatherings being organised and offered by three goddesses who I love: Elena Tonetti, Kate Magic and Little Grandmother :)

First up: Elena Tonetti's "Birth Into Being" workshops...many of you know that we LOVE the message Elena is sharing in the world about gentle birthing and conscious parenting...(and before we get another mass of emails again, no I am NOT pregnant... ;)
Elena is the creator of the outstanding "Birth As We Know It" documentary and next month she will be offering her live "Birthshops" in California, starting November the 19th. There are three ways you can participate: for two days, for four days or for the whole 10 day programme, which is the full "Apprenticeship" training. The Apprenticeship training is only offered once a year in the USA, sooooo...catch Elena while you can if this field is of interest to you...you may remember that Mr. M and I attended a two-day gathering with Elena last year - it was a profoundly beautiful and rich experience :) For more deets on these Birthshops and to reserve spaces, you can visit Elena's events page HERE and scroll down to the November 2010 section...ENJOY :)

Next up: magical raw si*star* Kate Magic over in the UK would love to let y'all know that she is organising a Raw Chocolate Roller Disco on November the 19th in London ;) lol - LOVE it ;)
This one-night-only event will be held at a roller disco venue near London Bridge and every visitor will receive raw chocolate, raw cake and yummy drinks as part of the entry fee...there will be funky tunes to set the scene, marshals to assist beginners and surely LOTS of giggles galore - I'd be there with bell-tousled-rainbow-legwarmers on in a flash, if I were on the other side of the Atlantic ;)
For now I'll leave it up to all you kids on the right of the pond to enjoy this event :) You can see all the details and book tickets HERE...

on October the 14th I was blissed with:

1 cup water

In the last week before we left the USA, Mr. Monarch and myself immersed ourselves into a life-shifting weekend workshop in New Mexico with wisdom-keeper shaman Little Grandmother, along with our lovely managers of TheRawFoodWorld, Zack and Alara.
I have written here quite a few times before about how much I appreciate the message that Little Grandmother (Kiesha Crowther) is sharing...so it was absolutely beautiful to be able to connect with her in person and absorb her positive, uplifting, motivating visions for the times we are currently living in and also headed towards...she foresees so much joy and liberation as we keep on shifting forwards through 2012 and beyond - I like that resonance :)
So many people at the gathering were moved repeatedly to tears of joy and release, hearing her stories and visions...it was a very deep-rooted, intense experience. Little Grandmother speaks with such clarity, sincerity, humility and grace - I love what she is sharing...one of my favourite aspects of what she shares is the idea that "it is none of my business what anyone else thinks of me". :) :) :)
On the second day of the workshop, we stood in sacred ceremony as a group on tribal grounds, surrounding a medicine wheel with an ancient healing crystal at the centre. We shared a healing ceremony for the sacred feminine and Little Grandmother also told each member of the group the Animal Totem that she saw accompanying them...(fyi, Mr. M is apparently a lemur and I am a mustang :)))
We took this group photo with Kiesha as we were floating out at the end of the weekend...we had such a wonderful time connecting with the Tribe of Many Colors and I would thoroughly recommend gifting yourself the experience of sharing some time with Kiesha if the opportunity ever seems to come up for you...her website is HERE, so you can check out her events schedule there...plus I would highly recommend watching some of her online interviews/talks if you haven't already seen them - see HERE for example to get started...
ENJOY :)

Mmmmmm, what a yummy *treat* we have for you today, direct from Katia, a RawReform reader in Australia...Katia has generously sent in a collection of 11 delicious green smoothie recipes that she has developed in recent years and would *love* to share with you all - enjoy :)

~ Green Smoothie Recipes, Created by Katia Dupoirier ~

Goji-berrylicious green smoothie:

1 to 2 cups Goji juice (simply soak overnight a handful - or more, it is entirely up to you - of dried goji berries in 1 or 2 cups purified water, then strain through nut mylk bag)
1 cup berries of your choice (raspberries taste good in this)
1 head butter lettuce
Stevia to taste if desired
Put all ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend away. Enjoy :)

Best smoothie I’ve ever had:

1 head romaine or any other greens of your choice (I've used some red oaks along with romaine lettuce for this smoothie)
1 and a half frozen bananas
2 frozen fresh figs
Big piece of fresh ginger
Few drops vanilla-flavoured stevia (if you don't have vanilla-flavoured stevia, replace with stevia and vanilla)
2 to 3 cups water (can't remember the exact amount of water to be honest but it made about 2 litres/quarts of this green smoothie)

Put all the ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend. It is delicious. We believe though that the figs could be omitted and it will still have this wonderful flavour. The yumminess came mainly from the blend of the banana, ginger and vanilla :)

Creamy Fruit-Free Green Smoothies:

Chocarob-cinnamon green smoothie
1 head romaine or other greens of your choice
1 avocado (and/or one frozen banana, if you prefer)
2 tablespoons carob powder
2 tablespoons cacao powder
2 teaspoons cinnamon powder
stevia to taste
about 1 cup water

Blend all the ingredients in a high-speed blender and enjoy :)

Creamy choc-mint smoothie:

1 head romaine (or less, it's up to you - you could even replace the romaine with parsley or spinach if you prefer)
1 or half an avocado
1 cup filtered water (depending on the consistency you are after)
1 handful mint leaves
4 heaping tablespoons cacao powder and/or carob powder
Stevia to taste

Blend all the ingredients and enjoy :)

Creamy ginger-bread green smoothie:
Hope you will enjoy this one :)

1 head romaine
1 avocado
Two tablespoons pumpkin spice powder (ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, cardamon)
Few drops vanilla essence with stevia or vanilla-flavoured stevia
1 cup water
Pinch of cacao or carob powder

Blend all the ingredients except for the cacao or carob powder in a high-speed blender.  Pour into a mug/glass and sprinkle with some cacao or carob powder on top.

Cucumber delight:
1 head butter lettuce
2 cucumbers
1 cup or two handfuls berries (raspberries or strawberries are good choices for this recipe)
1 small handful fresh mint leaves
1 cup water
Put all the ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend away ;) Pour into a glass and enjoy.

Green Smoothie Desserts:

Lemon meringue pie green smoothie:

1 cup fresh lemon juice (or you can simply use the juice of one lemon, depending how strong you like the taste of your smoothie to be)
Few drops of vanilla flavored stevia (or few drops stevia with vanilla essence/pod)
2 bananas
One head romaine lettuce

Blend everything in a high-speed blender and enjoy :)

Apple pie green smoothie:

1 cup fresh apple juice
1 or 2 bananas
1 head romaine lettuce
Apple pie spice powder to taste (Cinnamon, clove, nutmeg)

Blend everything in a high-speed blender and enjoy :)

Ginger-bread green smoothie (fruity version):

1 avocado
1 bunch parsley
Few drops vanilla flavoured stevia or few drops stevia and vanilla essence
Juice of one blood orange or any other orange
1 teaspoon orange zest
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1 cup water

Blend all the ingredients in a high-speed blender and enjoy. Sprinkle some chocolate or carob powder on top if desired ;)

Strawberry cream smoothie:

Meat of one young coconut
1 cup strawberries or raspberries
1 head butter lettuce
Half a teaspoon vanilla powder (or few drops vanilla extract)
Stevia to taste if desired
Water of one young coconut
Blend all the ingredients in a high-speed blender and enjoy. Sprinkle on top some desiccated coconut and/or cinnamon if desired.

Mango cream smoothie (reminds me of those "Yum Cha’s" mango pancakes):
Meat of one young coconut
1 cup mango
1 head butter lettuce
Half a teaspoon vanilla powder (or few drops vanilla extract)
Water of one young coconut
Blend all the ingredients in a high-speed blender and enjoy. Sprinkle on top some desiccated coconut if desired.

WOW, thanks so much for sharing, Katia :) I trust that you all enjoy experimenting with these delicious-sounding greeeeeeeeeen recipes - the lemon meringue pie smoothie sounds especially interesting to me... ;)

All love, light and peristaltic joy...

One reader, Colleen, wrote in recently saying she'd love to share a yummy recipe that she's developed recently with y'all. The recipe is for...keeping the bowels moving ;) lol... Here's her message:

"I am a new raw foody after doing a massive raw detox and found by accident a yummy recipe for keeping the bowels moving. I don't have a website of my own or a show so I thought if i passed this onto you you could share it with those who need some help in the bowel department :) It's nice and simple... just soaked chia seeds, mixed with prune paste (prunes and a bit of water blended up together...) and some slippery elm powder. It becomes a fruity, nutty, yummy dessert that also soothes the digestive tract and helps with elimination. I have had digestive problems, depression, the usual problems associated with poor diet (I was a cheese on toast type of vegetarian since I was 13) for many years but lately have felt the calling for better health, which, like you and Matt, has helped changed my life and I am meeting more and more inspiring people since choosing this journey. I appreciate your input into helping others become more self-aware in what they eat etc so here's a gift recipe back :)

with reikified love and gratitude,
Colleen McKendry Davies :)"

NICE, enjoy that one, dear readers ;)

Abundance and Appreciation... :)

WELL...I am thrilled to say that I passed about half of the day today planting beans and peas into our first garden bed :))) SOOOO happy to be out there getting things into the ground...we're planting leguminous plants like this first to help with some nitrogen-fixing into the soil, then the next crop to hit the beds will be veggies/greens/melons that we're really excited about, like lettuces, okra, heirloom tomatoes, spinach, watermelons and so on...

One thing my awareness is drawn to over and over again here is how enormously *abundant* nature is...it is over-awing for me every time I open a fruit here for example, to see ALL those seeds inside just ONE fruit...and to think that every single one of those little seeds has the potential to become an entire TREE or plant, that could then produce HUNDREDS more fruits...and so on and so on - this creates trippy 'Russian Doll' imagery in my mind, with each seed unpacking into generations of more and more abundance...and this all starts from looking at the seeds of just ONE fruit...I think if I tried to plant all of the seeds I encounter here daily, we'd run out of planting land in a week or so... ;) lol...nature is truly so astonishingly abundant, magnificent and giving...so gorgeous to witness...we are all indeed so blessed... :)

A little reminder that our Raw Food World Radio Show interview this month features the wonderful Elena Tonetti-Vladimirova, creator of the "Birth As We Know It" DVD. I was so excited for last month's interview with Leonid Sharashkin and now I think that my excitement monitor might just *erupt* in anticipation of this next interview ;) We *LOVE* the work Elena is sharing with the world...here's Mr. M's summary of this upcoming call:

"This interview could leave your eyes popping open WIDE!!! There is nobody I know who can convey the TRUTH about natural birth more effectively than our dear friend Elena Tonetti-Vladimirova. Angela and I went to one of Elena's birth workshops last year, which changed our lives IMMENSELY for the better. Elena is the creator of the OUTSTANDING DVD 'Birth As We Know It'. It was this DVD that first opened up my mind to the truth of how far from 'natural' the majority of human births are these days and how "Natural Birthing" concepts are IMPERATIVE now to the future of our species. This subject is one of those things that seems so BLATANTLY obvious, if someone is willing to open up to it... and I wonder, how come I didn't see the common sense of these concepts before being exposed to them through Elena's DVD!!! Well, mostly I suppose because, in our societies, we are usually brought up under a 'veil' in regards to Natural Birthing and many other concepts related to natural TRUTH!

Elena will show you that birth is not only something not to fear - that it can, in fact have the potential to be the most ecstatic ORGASMIC experience of your life. I highly recommend checking out Elena's website by clicking the banner above to learn more about her LIFE-CHANGING, world-shifting work. I also recommend purchasing her DVD - either at our store or from Elena's website at the banner above. I feel that it is the BEST DVD on Natural Birthing out there - absolutely phenomenal.

With over 25 years experience in the field of Conscious Parenting, Elena is FULL of FASCINATING stories and we will be asking her to share many of them with us when we interview her on our Radio Show this month! Please join us on Monday, April 26th as I interview Elena Tonetti-Vladimirova at 6:00 pm (Pacific time), 9pm Eastern.

To sign up for this unique interview, please click HERE."

All love,

We asked y'all to send in your answers to the following Q to be in with a chance of winning:

"What is *your* brightest wish for the young girls of today?"

THANKS for all the fabulous entries we received - perhaps I'll share more of the responses in an upcoming blog post - for now, I'm delighted to say that the winner of the backstage WISH pass, picked at random today, is Mindy, who sent in the following response:

"A Cleaner and Greener world, where all their contributions are Honored and Respected, whether they choose to focus on the path of motherhood, or some type of employment/career, or both.  Freedom to be themselves, and freedom to Honor and  Worship and Connect with the Divine in themselves and others, in whatever way they are drawn to do.  Lasting Peace.  Much the same as what I wish for all the little boys.  May they Dance together in Ecstatic Delight and an Eternal Expression of Unending Love!"

THANKS Mindy, we appreciate your glowing vision for the young lassies and lads of today and may they indeed all feel loved, confident and clear :))) Your Summit Pass is on its way to you and as always, we're sending brightest blessings to all...

OMGoddess...if you didn't catch last month's radio interview with Dr. Leonid Sharashkin (editor of the "Anastasia" books from Russian to English), you missed some amazing insights into natural living, connecting to the universal energy, growing our own food and communing with nature...(you can access a playback of that interview HERE if you like)
...and now this month we move from one inspiring modern Russian icon to another, in the gracious form of the wonderful Elena Tonetti-Vladimirova, creator of the "Birth As We Know It" DVD. I was so excited for last month's interview and now I think my excitement monitor might just *erupt* in anticipation of this next interview ;) We *LOVE* the work Elena is sharing with the world...here's Mr.

With over 25 years experience in the field of Concsious Parenting, Elena is FULL of FASCINATING stories and we will be asking her to share many of them with us when we interview her on our Radio Show this month! Please join us on Monday, April 26th as I interview Elena Tonetti-Vladimirova at 6:00 pm (Pacific time), 9pm Eastern.

To sign up for this unique interview, please click HERE."

Three Russian Heroines... :)

Today I'd like to give some little updates on Three Russian Heroines in my life: Victoria Boutenko, Elena Tonetti and Anastasia :) I'm not quite sure yet why my karma seems to be so tied up with strong Russian female energies...yet these three women, between them, have had and continue to have a HUGE impact and influence on my life in the last years...(interestingly, apparently part of Mr. Monarch's pre–USA family history also traces back to Russia…hmmmmmmm...)

So, let's start with Victoria, as she was the first to come to my awareness, when my dear friend in Iceland lent me the Boutenko's 'Raw Family' book back in May 2002, which led to my 160lb weight release and dramatic life shift... next month, Victoria is going to be our special guest on The Raw Food World Radio Show :) YAY :) Mr. M is going to be interviewing her on the evening of November the 27th, from 6pm Pacific time, 9pm Eastern time. The call is LIVE and FREE and you can sign up for it HERE. Be aware that there is only room on the call for 1000 people, so get in there quick if you want to be on the call live ;)

ENJOY...

on October the 24th it was mi madre's b-day and I loved:

1 quart water
2 cups goji juice with Marine Phytoplankton, Merlin's Elixir and Etherium products
cupful of pomegrante/chia pudding with a few bites of apple
2 cups goji juice with Marine Phytoplankton, Merlin's Elixir and Etherium products
bowl of energy soup with spicy sunflower seeds and a little pine nut butter on the side, followed by more pomegranate/chia pudding – YUMMMM :)
2 cups water
2 cups green juice: celery, cucumber, spinach, zucchini, parsley, fresh garden greens, ginger, lemon
2 cups water

Next up is the lovely Elena from Birth Into Being, who we first met at the Raw Food Film Festival, back in 2007, where we were BLOWN AWAY by her amazing film 'Birth As We Know It' – the most perspective–altering documentary I have ever seen, all about conscious parenting.

Elena has a full schedule of workshops, film showings and more on her site HERE and I was very excited to see recently that someone called Jeanice from the Ringing Cedars/Anastasia Ning Community announced they will be doing a free radio call with Elena on November the 11th. Jeanice is starting up a new BlogTalkRadio channel dedicated to discussing natural pregnancy, childbirth, parenting and so on and Elena will be the first guest. The primary intention for the show is to share this valuable information with teenagers, yet all are welcome to join in – you can connect to the call HERE.

on October the 25th my dog would have 25 years old if he was still alive and I was adoring:

1 quart water
3 cups goji juice blended with camu powder
bowl of energy soup with spicy sunflower seeds & sauerkraut on the side, followed by a little hand–mixed shared yumpot bowl of: lucuma, mesquite, cinnamon, vanilla powders with pine nut butter and water
3 cups water
2 Tbsp spirulina crunchies, 2 Tbsp bee pollen
2 cups water

on October the 26th I was blissed with:

1 quart water
2 cups goji juice blended with Marine Phytoplankton, Merlin's Elixir and Etherium products
bowl of energy soup with olives and flax crackers on the side, followed by a little yumpot of chia–pomegranate pudding :)
1 quart water
2 cups goji juice shaken up with Marine Phytoplankton, Merlin's Elixir and Etherium products
3 Tbsp bee pollen, a couple of chunks of Rawnola and a little handful of dried yacon slices
3 cups water

...and on the subject of the Ringing Cedars, our final Russian role model of the day, yet certainly not the least impactful in my life, is dear si*star* Anastasia, out in the forest in Siberia. If you've hear me speak recently, most likely you'll have heard me sharing how much these books have influenced me – I started reading the series of nine books a couple of years ago and they have deeeeeply impacted my whole life perspective – in fact, if there was only ONE book I could recommend for anyone to read, it would be 'Anastasia' – these books are literally changing the face of the planet, without any advertising, it's all spread by word of mouth and deep, heart–felt passion to reconnect to the Earth – LOVE it :)

Recently, someone sent us the links to a little 50 minute documentary online, all about people who are taking ACTION on implementing the 'Anastasia' lifestyle, getting to the land, setting up their kins' domains, growing food, connecting to nature. It is available to watch on YouTube as a series of 5 videos, which you can see in the playlist HERE – enjoy ;)

I hope these lovely maidens help inspire YOU in some way along your journey too – they have definitely been powerful role models in my life :)

All love,
Ms. Stokes–Monarch. xxx

Mmmmmm, I don't think I've ever been so MOVED by the contest entries for a RawReform Giveaway as with the last batch that came in, to win a free copy of Elena Tonetti's awe-inspiring 'Birth As We Know It' DVD.
My heart felt like it was breaking with each and every contest submission that I read: I wanted to send a copy to EVERYONE... ;(
This is truly SUCH an amazing, life-shifting documentary that I thoroughly recommend viewing at any opportunity you get...alas, there could only be one winner of last month's giveaway however...and that winner was picked today as the lovely, open-hearted, flowing goddess, Sparrow Jones :)

In answer to the question: "If you were the winner of the Birth As We Know It DVD, who would you share this inspiring documentary with and why?", Sparrow replied:

"I am on the Women's History Month planning committee at my university
and we had already decided to make this coming year's theme "Birth Stories" --
a theme that can be applied both to actual childbirth as
well as to birthing of ideas, rebirth of self, and more.

Part of our WHM festivities includes hosting a gender studies
conference to which people from all over the country come to listen to
and present ideas about gender, genderedness, and all related topics.
The conference draws quite a crowd, especially since we have hosted
luminary keynote speakers such as Barbara Ehrenriech, author of
"Nickel and Dimed: On Not Getting By in America."

If I were the winner of the Birth As We Know It DVD, I would use my
position as a member of the WHM planning committee to arrange a
special viewing and discussion of the ideas presented in the DVD. With
our conference already drawing a crowd of people interested in such
ideas and our theme of "Birth Stories" already having been chosen, it
would be the perfect opportunity to open a lot of people's eyes,
minds, and hearts to new ways of thinking and relating."

Sparrow R. Jones

Oooooo, WONDERFUL - thank you so much Sparrow, for entering this contest and for your desire to share this DVD with the people at your conference :)...and THANK YOU indeed to ALL of you who entered this contest...

$10 OFF for EVERYONE :)))
If you'd still love to get a copy of this outstanding DVD, as a special offer to you all, I've arranged to have the DVD on sale in our store for $10 off the usual price (from now until October 20th :) You can now get 'Birth As We Know It' for just $35 using this link HERE. I want as many people as possible to feel able to access and share this important information - ENJOY :)))

on October the 4th I adored:

1 quart water
double shotglass of orange juice with goji juice
3 cups greeeeeeeeen juice: celery, cucumber, zucchini, spinach, parsley, romaine, endive, fennel
YUMMMMMMY meal at Au Lac: Chimmichurri followed by shared De La Mamma and Donut Holes – WE LOVE ITO :)))

My dear friend Lara has a very special invite to extend to any of you who would LOVE to go and help out at her mum Zanna's charming retreat centre, on the volcanic Canary Island of Lanzarote, near Spain... :)
Here's the download from Lara:

"Zanna, at Villa Amatista retreat centre in Lanzarote, Canary Islands, is looking for WWOOFers (work exchange) AND a paid admin person; soul family, conscious, lovely people, who can use their initiative and are diligent at working.

***WWOOFing Positions***
*working on the land+gardens - there is a hectare of land, growing lots of veggies and fruit trees.
*Painting walls
*Sweeping paths
*Planting trees
*Building stone walls
*Preparing food (for everyone, or for groups when there are courses/workshops).
*...and always lots of different things to be done.

In return for your help, you will receive your food and accommodation. Food is Vegetarian/Vegan, mainly raw - lots of salad from the garden. All Yummy!
Work 5 days a week, normally 9am-2pm. But if you want to work later instead you can, and if you want to have an extra day off you can work a little more for a couple of days - there are many possibilities.

***Long-Term Admin Job***
For this position, you receive your food and accommodation, plus some extra spending money.
There isn't actually a lot of admin to handle, but the centre does need someone to check the e-mails and deal with the bookings daily. Hours of admin vary each day and as there is not a huge amount to do in the office, you get to work/play in the garden too ;)
This position requires someone who is competent with computers, speaks Spanish fluently/very competently and is able to get on independently with whatever tasks are at hand.

With either position, you can also get involved in the regular workshops, including topics such as rebirthing, pilates/yoga, pranic healing, Tai Chi, shamanic healing and so on. You can see all about the centre HERE - the site is available in four languages.
If you are interested in either of these positions, please contact Zanna by e-mail on: zanna.amatista (at) gmail.com.
ENJOY..."
