Calling those of you with acting backgrounds: I would LOVE to start doing some "community theatre" here in Vilcabamba, even just on a very small scale at first, potentially, with just a handful of actors and minimal staging...and I'm wondering where to find positive, uplifting, beautiful scripts to explore...I have been poking around online and so far everything I've come across seems outside the realm of things I'd be excited to present...I'm sure there must be some wonderful resources out there for inspiring, educational, uplifting plays - if any of you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them - please let us know on angela@rawreform.com - thanks :)))

Time for some more "eco-fashion" hits :) I'd love to share with you three eco-fashion companies currently catching MY eye...

*Yala - I have mentioned these bamboo geniuses before methinks...though most probably under their previous name of "Dreamsacks" - they reinvented themselves, pulled out some new fabulous designs and WOW, I just LOVE these bamboo wonders...their clothes are sooooo soft, flowing, beautiful, feminine, gorgeous...I just received some new goodies from them last week and have been pretty much living in them since - love, love, love their stuff - check them out at http://www.yaladesigns.com.

*Gaia Conceptions - WOW, I didn't order anything from this stunning line yet, however, given the opportunity I think I'd snap up at least one of everything - these items just oooooooze love, care, attention, beauty, femininity, gorgeousness, to me at least ;) They look extremely well made, with beautiful eco-fabrics and colours - an absolutely delightful collection - check them out at http://www.gaiaconceptions.com

*Conscious Clothing - the name says it all...I'm always on the look-out on Etsy and other places online for beautiful "eco-friendly" items and this company kept catching my eye on a recent Etsy exploration - simple, well-crafted, elegant, funky pieces of wearable art - enjoy diving into their collection over at http://www.etsy.com/shop/consciousclothing.

...and if YOU or someone you know has another "eco-friendly" clothing company or business you'd love to let us know about, just email angela@rawreform.com and we'll check it out - thanks ;)))

All blessings of joy and upliftment,

Elixir Crafts :)

Have you seen the flurry of Daniel Vitalis videos Mr. M has been posting recently over at TheRawFoodWorld.tv? WOW. The man can talk ;) I think Mr. M has posted around 10 videos of Daniel in the last few days – and that's AFTER editing ;)
If you're not familiar yet with Daniel's work, I'd strongly encourage you to go and check out some of the vids HERE and see what he's up to...we went to visit him in the mountains of New Hampshire recently and we had such a wonderful time with him, collecting spring water, making elixirs, learning about the products and visions he is bringing to the raw movement and so on... Daniel seems like a true leader and visionary to me – he was pretty much self–educated from childhood and the solid, practical, genuinely useful, cutting–edge knowledge that pours out of this man is awe–inspiring...he seems very connected to the Earth, very capable AND he is a truly gifted speaker and orator. Love it – he has soooo much to share. I was actually kind of anxious about meeting him at first, as you can see in one of the videos – lol – I could sense that there is so much in his head and being to share that I was nervous it would feel overwhelming ;) He is actually one of the most easy–going, open, approachable and kind educators I have met – a wonderful teacher :) Awwww, we love Daniel :)
As you may perhaps be aware, one of Mr. Vitalis' specialities is making powerful herbal elixir drinks. He created a whole audio course sharing the step–by–step techniques and foundational knowledge to create your OWN elixir concoctions...the course is called 'Elixir Craft' and you can get it HERE, to access 6 hours+ of Daniel sharing his top tips for yummy, nutrient–packed drinks...enjoy :)

1 quart water
2 cups greeeeeeeen juice: celery, cucumber, zucchini, kale, fennel, romaine, ginger
2 cups energy soup with sauerkrauts, almond butter and an assortment of cracker samples from Aimee's (LOVING them – we'll have the yummies on the site soon ;)
1 quart water

2 cups goji juice with Marine Phytoplankton
30 chlorella 'nuts'

on August the 10th it was my birthday and I loved:

Ooooooo, I had SUCH a yummy 31st birthday on Monday :) THANK YOU for aaaaaaaaaaall your beautiful birthday messages – they are all appreciated :)))
We are in New England at the moment and it has been such a joy travelling around this beautiful area...for my birthday we were mostly around the Boston area and we had a picnic out in a park, went shopping at a yummy hemp clothing shop in Boston, wrote our intentions for the coming year, went bowling at a very sweet little bowlarama place from the '30s (Mr. M won the game ;), did some eye gazing, drank green juice, shared some divine massage and even visited Vibram shoes, the makers of the wonderful 'fivefinger' toe shoes that we love so much :) They were very welcoming and generously gave us some free toe socks as a birthday gift – lol ;) You can see my birthday video from there later today over at TheRawFoodWorld.tv ;)
Mr. Monarch also gifted me SUCH a fun gadget that allows us to listen to all the music from my iTouch as we travel in the car – LOVE it – I'm singing more than ever now, to my own favourite tooooons – thank you for the music :)

All love,
a woman who was born in England 31 years ago. xxx

Validating Your Divine Self... ;)

OOooOooooo, ladies and gentlemen, it’s that time again...raw food, detox and fitness plans seem to be kicking off all over the shot right now...there are many many different plans to follow – maybe you’d like to RawFu away any Holiday excesses with the lovely Bunny Berry's assistance, for example?

Or maybe you’ll be a Raw Diva with their new 7-day plan?

Jinjee and Storm have years of experience to share of course too, on a different 7-day plan HERE...

...or if you REALLY wanna go for it, then the first Global Juice Feast of this year just kicked off yesterday (Jan 3rd) and will run until Jan 31st. You can flow into that yumminess with the beautylicious Rainosheks HERE.
I'm sure there's plenty of other yummy detox plans kicking off too - maybe even some in your local area...???

Now, as for EXERCISE, as many people know, those lovely Boutenkos did a huge trek along the Pacific Coast Trail when they first went raw...if you’d like to follow a little in their footsteps (virtually at least ;) HERE is a cool site that was sent in by one reader - Steve - where you can ‘walk the Oregon Coast’ virtually ;) lol – love it...you keep track of your biking/walking/exercising in your local area, then record it on the site, making simultaneous ‘virtual’ progress along the Oregon Coast track – nice motivational tool...you can also go on a walking tour of Italy on the same site if you prefer... You just enter the promo code ‘InStep2008’ to join in for free, apparently...
ENJOY :)

on January the 2nd I had:

4 quarts water
1 apple

on January the 3rd I had:

2 quarts water
mug of pau d’arco tea
40 chlorella ‘nuts’
double wheatgrass shot with ginger and lime juice
an apple with 3 tbsp Sproutein powder
1 quart water
1.5 cups energy soup with a flax cracker, followed by 2 tbsp goji berry powder
little mug of rooibus tea
2 cups water

Hmmmm, so, as for me, I haven’t been eating much the last few days, as you might have noticed. No, this is no intentional ‘detox’ plan... ;) The journey back from Mexico was simply pretty INTENSE – over 28 hours in transit in the end...and I seem to find that my appetite goes away after journeys like that...I sense it’s a combination of jet–lag, out–of–bodyness, sleep deprivation, messed up circadian rhythms, feeling puffed–up from planes, body wanting a break from digestion so that it can heal as fast as possible and so on...well, the result is: no interest in food, or at least very minimal…which is fine – interesting to observe...and I‘m grateful to feel more–or–less back in this body now, slowly grounding back down with some more foods, especially some healthy fats as it’s COLD here in the UK – eeeeeeeeeeek...who turned the heaters off while I was away...? lol ;)

on January the 4th I had:

1 quart water
little cup of rooibus tea
3 cups grrreeeeen juice: celery, cucumber, fennel, Jerusalem artichoke, ginger, lime
1.5 cups energy soup with flax crackers, followed by a little rammikin dish of hand–blended yum: carob powder, lucuma powder, cinnamon, maca, gojis, water
3 cups water
30 chlorella tabs
gorgeous little bowl of grawnola with carob/lucuma/macadamia nut ‘mylk’ – WOW :)
little mug of rooibus tea
2 cups water

Mmmmmmm, I wanted to share a really sweet short film with you today that was sent in by another reader – Shane. It’s called ‘Validation’, is abt 16 mins long, very heart–warming and has won a whole mantelpiece of awards already ;). You can watch it HERE:

SMILE :)

Fun new raw food housing opportunity:
Those of you who have been reading here for a while may recall a yummy opportunity that came up some months ago for a live-in raw food chef in Sussex, England on a GORGEOUS 8-acre property called ‘Mistletoe Meadows’. Well, that position was very happily filled by one of our ever-expanding, vibrant raw family and NOW there is an opportunity for someone else to join the team there – FUN :)
The property owner, Jennifer, would love to welcome someone else to the grounds on an energy exchange basis, to help out for the winter and possibly longer. The main roles would be assisting with the daily raw food prep (sprouting, dehydrating, juicing etc), as well as providing a couple of healing massage treatments per week for Jennifer (feet/lower leg). In return for helping out with those tasks, the new community member will have their own bedroom and bathroom rent-free, share the kitchen and living room with Jennifer and of course have access to the lovely 8-acres of organic gardens and grounds, plus swimming pool – yummy ;)
If this sounds like an opportunity YOU would relish, you can contact Jennifer on: dragonfly229 (at) hotmail.com (replace ‘at’ with the @ symbol), being sure to write ‘Community Retreat Project’ in the subject title, please.
(Just like before, I imagine this position is equally open to international candidates as it is to UK residents, provided any international applicants take care of their own visa/travel arrangements, etc... ;)

ENJOY :)
All love,

Thailand Durian Magic...

We’re in Thailand now, as those of you who read Mr Monarch’s blog will be aware ;) We arrived last night to Bangkok and we’re in a yummy state of bliss already, even if we’re still in the city right now ;) Fresh durian, pineapple, papaya, rambutan and longans right out on the street outside our hostel, elephants walking in the streets, countless salesman and hawkers selling their wares...and HEAT – I haven’t been anywhere so warm and humid in quite a few months – it feels funny to have my arms exposed again and feel my skin, rather than being wrapped in layers ;) It is HOT here – it was about 30C/86F when we arrived last night – WOW ;) We’re off to hopefully find Bangkok’s very own raw food restaurant today – Rasayana – see HERE.
I’m not sure how much internet access we’ll be getting the next few weeks, so bear with us if you send messages and don’t hear back swiftly ;)

on April the 26th I had:

1.5 quarts water
1.5 cups pineapple juice
½ meal of blended gojis/almonds, with a little grawnola alongside ;)
1 quart water
little handful of seaweed
1 tbsp wheatgrass powder
1.5 quarts water
other half of blended goji/almond meal, with a little grawnola
handful of fresh sprouts and seaweed, a selection of little ‘bliss balls’ ;)
2 cups ‘kapha’ tea
3 cups water

Thanks for all the yummy messages that have been coming in about the ‘Raw 5 Years going on 6 Years’ video myself and the Monarch posted last week ;) We’re glad to hear many of you have been enjoying it too – it was certainly fun to film ;) Here’s a comment left by one reader - Lyn - about the video, that I found amusing ;)

“Angela, your new Maria von Chia clip made my day! Matt's inner von Trapp captured on film was priceless! Thank you again for your daily blogs, you are truly inspirational. Love from Lyn in Manchester, UK”

If you haven’t seen that particular YouTube offering yet, you can access it HERE – let your ears soak in the subtle pleasures of raw food musical world ;)

on April the 27th I had:

1.5 quarts water
3 cups pineapple/celery/fennel/spinach/romaine/parsley juice
1 DELICIOUS cherimoya
2 cups water
meal of mixed sprouts, ½ avocado and seaweeds
2 cups water
little blended meal: soaked dried figs blended with spirulina and almonds
1.5 quarts water
handful of sprouts and seaweed
2 cups water
1 fresh coconut water and a few durian pods (here we go ;)
3 cups water

Have you seen RawMom.com yet? If you haven’t, this is another little side-venture from those lovely Raw Divas Tera and Amy that I would HIGHLY recommend. WOW. RawMom.com is a blog written by 7 actual, literal, living, bonefide Raw MOMS, who live all over the world :) They each write one day a week, sharing tips and guidance on their areas of interest and there is some FABULOUS info in there to access. I am just so delighted to see that there’s a clear place for people who want to bring up little raw magic monkeys to get guidance from others who are living this way, have gone down the path already and have a wealth of experience to share. I love it :) We even got the chance to meet one of the seven lovely ladies this weekend when we spoke in Melbourne – Joanne came along and it was lovely to meet her, along with the inimitable Gala Darling and many others we have connected with previously via the internet – THANKS to you all who came along... ;)
Now...on with the durian munching ;)

One love,
Angela. xxx

1 persimmon, 1 apple
1.5 quarts water
little meal of mixed sprouts with karengo/wakame seaweeds

We are now in Melbourne and feeling very blessed to be staying in a GORGEOUS cedar house complete with clean air, Eucalyptus trees all around, an extremely sweet cat and dog, beautiful merry birds chirping in the garden and lovely hosts. YUM :) The Monarch and myself went on an INTENSE 1.5 hr bike ride around the area yesterday evening, including a visit to the most amazing kids’ playground I’ve ever seen. It was huuuuuuuuge, like a big wooden house or castle or something, with all kinds of different play areas. We had great fun climbing up the rock-climb walls, then sliding down the fireman’s pole, over and over again ;) One of my favourite ways to release energy is going to playgrounds and playing on the swings, or swinging on the monkey bars or smthg...I love playgrounds and think it would be fun if more adults played in them too. It often seems like there’s a cultural assumption that only children would want to play and have fun outside... I like the quote ‘we don’t stop playing because we get old; we get old because we stop playing.’ Adults frequently seem to stand at the edge of playgrounds looking bored or anxious ;) Hmmm...how about joining in? While the ‘ideal’ of course might be that we’re all so engaged with our gardens or jungle treks that going and playing on a pile of metal and wood seems absurd, for most people at present, a trip to play at the local playground might be just the ticket for some fun exercise ;) LOL...

Three Yummy Thoughts For Today:

It is good to have an end to journey towards, but it is the journey that matters in the end.
- Ursula le Guin

And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.
Anais Nin

If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams and endeavors to live the life, which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.
