WONDERFUL update from Living Light about the fund for Elaina Love and her young son Dominic who is currently in the process of reversing leukemia at Hippocrates in Florida. You may recall a few days back I posted a message via Living Light calling for donations to help support the lovely Loves during this challenging time and here is a wonderful little update from Living Light:

“Incredibly, within the first 24 hours, we had received over 200 donations ranging from $5 to $250. Since then, the money, love, and prayers have poured in abundantly - we have been overwhelmed with the response. Just today, we received word that a benefactor will pay $2000 of Dominic's medical expenses and financial support is continuing to flow in. At this point, we are happy to report that we are close to raising the entire $20,000 that Elaina estimated she needs to cover their travel to Hippocrates and the services Dominic requires in attempting to save his young life.”

And a little quote from Elaina too, on email, via Living Light:

Thank you all so very much for your generous contributions to Dominic's healing. My heart is so touched by you all and I am moved to tears daily. It touches me to my soul to know that you all care so much and to know how much we are loved. Dominic told me this morning that he plans on living to be an old man and that he will outlive us all! I loved hearing that. He is the bravest person I know and my personal hero!!!! One of the guests here told me today that he sets a good example for her and the others because he is so willing to do what it takes.
I know your love and prayers are powerful beyond measure. I appreciate your continued love and prayers, and am so grateful to all of you for the part you are playing in Dominic's return to well-being.
With all the love in my heart,
Elaina Love”

Apparently Brian Clement, director of Hippocrates, has also offered a partial scholarship to the Loves to help off-set the fees too :) Dominic still has a lot of healing to work through and all the love, prayers and support being sent their way are SOOOOO appreciated – it warms my heart so immensely too, to know that when one of the raw ‘tribe’ is in a challenging position like this, the raw ‘family’ gathers around to do our best to support them – LOVE it, thank you all SO much for all the yummy flow to the Loves :)

<3, love, LOVE,
Ms. Stokes-Monarch. xxx

I’m feeling SO excited about the Funky Raw Festie in Sussex this weekend – just about to head off there very soon as I write this...and reflecting on the beautiful synchronicity that it’s coinciding with a Full Moon in Aquarius tomorrow, on Saturday – how IDEAL :) We’re just coming out of a New Moon in Leo and here’s some of what marvellous astrologer Lisa Dale Miller shares about this Full Moon tomorrow:

“This is the Full Moon for involvement in something larger than you. Remember that Aquarius rules the breakdown of the old ways by questioning the status quo. Those who create revolutionary change in societies are always the ones who can vision far beyond accepted beliefs and structures. Step fully into a commitment to teach and serve by breaking down the attraction to focusing only on your own life. Selfless giving to others is a true Aquarian vision of working for the collective upliftment of all sentient beings. This is the Full Moon to honor freedom, idealism, humanitarianism, egalitarianism, and the revolutionary impulse toward reform, without causing harm to anyone. Aquarius is the impulse to raise-up everyone and leave no one behind. So in service to these calls to action, become responsible and find out what is really happening around you. Get involved in your community, volunteer your time, and raise awareness in your neighborhood. It’s summer, have a block party and raise funds for a good cause.”

Sounds wonderful – enjoy your celebrations, brothers and sisters :) You can read Lisa's report in full on her site HERE.

Have you been loving the Raw Summit 2? I HAVE :) I barely heard any of the first Raw Summit due to a fast-paced lifestyle at that time – now I’m listening in every day – yummy :) Some of my highlights so far were hearing Rod Rotondi of Leaf Cuisine speaking about how they don’t have ‘trash’ at the Leaf restaurants – just one pile for recycling and one for compost :O GO ROD :) I love it… It was great for me to hear Annie Jubb share her experience – I’d never heard her speak before at all and she seems to have a great deal of grounded, loving guidance to share. Go raw women speakers ;)
I was also really happy to hear Sergei Boutenko speak about the Boutenko family’s trek along the Pacific Coast Trail when he was about 13. That journey is described in Raw Family, the Boutenko’s book which helped me shift the track of my life 5 years ago…I’ve never heard any of them SPEAK about the trek though…it was SO beautiful to me to hear Sergei talk about how he started out thinking it would be desperately dull and packing his Gameboy, to absolutely revelling in the experience, eating 70% foraged foods and now sharing his foraging skills with others all over the world :) Hmmmm…I would love to do a pilgrimage at some point…
In the meantime, if you’re not tuned into the Summit yet, it’s totally free to listen in and you can sign up HERE: http://www.1shoppingcart.com/app/?af=672327

Still to air are Tim Van Orden, Ani Phyo, Mike Nash, Joel Fuhrman, Debbie Merrill and the good Drs. Clement – great line-up ;)

One love,
Angela. xxx
