Love and Support to Elaina Love...

As some of you may have seen already, the Living Light Culinary School yesterday issued an 'Urgent Request' for support for raw chef Elaina Love. Elaina is a dear raw friend whose young son Dominic was diagnosed with leukemia early this year and recently said to have 1-4 weeks to live, by his doctors. We stayed with the Loves back in the summer and were saddened to see Dominic feeling unwell. He is now at Hippocrates with his mum for a three-week intensive healing session. Living Light issued this request for support for Elaina to help cover the $20,000 fee for Dominic's treatment. Donors can send as little as $5 and anyone who sends in over $20 will also be entered into a draw to win either 2 free tickets to the Living Light Expo next year or a free culinary class at the school. Sweet :)
We sent a donation in yesterday and I wanted to post this info here too, to let anyone else who loves and appreciates Elaina know that this donation system has been set up. If you feel drawn to donate to the fund, you can visit THIS LINK to do so...you may also prefer to purchase some of Elaina's wonderful e-books as a form of support - she has a fantastic Irish Moss recipe e-book HERE for example, plus many other inexpensive, fabulous recipe books: Flavours of China, Nuevo Mexican Foods, Kale Chips, Liver and Gall Bladder Flush, Raw Wedding Cake and more - see all her ebooks HERE and consider this a fabulous way to support Elaina with no 'overheads' and get smthg yummy for yourself at the same time :))) If nothing else, I sincerely hope you'll join us in sending our very strongest healing love vibes to Dominic and Elaina at this time - it is all so appreciated :)))) THANK YOU :))))

...and if you're in the UK and looking for 'gourmet' raw treats on the hop, check out the gorgeous new line from the yumsters at GourmetRaw.com - they've just launched a beautiful range of raw brownies and 'flackers' (i.e. flax crackers, LOVE the name ;) which are set to get stocked up soon on health food shop shelves all over the UK...
I am excited to see this, as I've long felt there was a gap in the market in the UK for SAVOURY raw items to 'grab and go' at health stores - it seems like there's tonnes of raw chocolates there and not much savoury stuff, so...HURRAY for this new line ;)
You can check out the products at GourmetRaw.com and you can also suggest a health food store where you would love to get these new gems, HERE.

All blissings,

Your OWN Certified Organic Garden :)

OOooooooo, there's a very exciting new MLM company on the scene that I think y'all might be interested in, as it's all about growing fresh, certified organic foods :) (I'm not usually excited by MLM companies, just as I imagine many of you aren't either - this one seems genuinely very cool though...) The company is called "Organic Acres" and is truly a unique model for sustainable agriculture and business.
The idea is that wherever you live in the USA, you can have your own organic garden plot with them, where you get to choose what is grown and they manage the whole plot for you, even providing 24-hour camera surveillance and you get all the food grown on your plot delivered to you on demand, as you want it...wow...interesting methinks ;)
Now of course the IDEAL from my perspective would be for everyone to be growing/gathering food right where they live, however, for many people (especially in the big cities), that is not yet part of their reality, so if they're going to be getting foods from elsewhere anyway, it seems preferable to be getting certified organic foods from their own garden, from crops they've chosen themselves, non? ;)
The way this company has been set up actually makes it possible for people to pretty much end up getting all their fresh food for *free*, through introducing others to Organic Acres...and even if that isn't something you'd be excited to do, you still get so many benefits, for example, while you pay a $100 monthly maintenance fee for a full garden to be tended, you get BACK in return not only all the produce from your garden but also a $100 debit card to use in the Organic Acres online "General Store" that has many dried/packaged products, just like our store. You can also sell any excess fresh produce from your land in the community online "Farmer's Market"...

Organic Acres is so new that it hasn't even actually launched yet – it is about to go live in 1–2 months probably, so now is a GREAT time to get involved in this revolutionary food production business, if you're interested...and in fact the first 2000 people to join up now (for free) actually become part–owners of the company, receiving 2% of any company profits in the years to come...I think this is a really exciting opportunity for people interested both in green businesses PLUS getting top quality certified organic fresh produce delivered straight to your door from your own plot – love it :) You can sign up HERE to learn more and secure your place as one of the pioneers of this blossoming business...enjoy ;)

Ready for 'International Green Smoothie Day'...???

MMmmmmmm, thank you all SO much for all the yummy birthday wishes that have been pouring in from internet-world this week – they are very much appreciated ;) We celebrated the occasion with a special trip to pick fresh wild Icelandic blueberries at a lovely location next to a national park. It was very blissful, out in the sun, collecting up Mother Earth’s delicious offerings...you can see a few pics from the day HERE (including this one to the right of the BEAUTIFUL blueberry birthday cake creation Mr. Monarch made ;)
...and don’t forget, you can currently order my ten favourite products in the RawReform store at 30% OFF, until August the 30th – see HERE for the birthday celebration specials...
My dear friend Solla also gifted me a NETI POT for my birthday :O LOL – FUN ;) (If you’re not familiar with neti pots, they are little pots, not dis-similar to a teapot in appearance, used to clean out the nasal passages/sinus with salt water.) The Monarch and I have both used the neti pot a few times already and we’re both AMAZED at the feelings of clearing and open-ness it brings to our sinus cavities...breathing seems to automatically come more deeply after using it...very interesting – another new ‘detox’ gadget to play with ;) LOL...

on August the 10th I had:

1 quart water
2 cups veggie juice: cucumber, kale, parsley, fennel, sprouts, carrot
2 cups ‘energy soup’ with coconut chips and some bell pepper on the side
handful of fresh blueberries
slice of AMAZING blueberry birthday cake made by Mr. Monarch
1 quart water
teaspoon of chlorella powder
2 cups water
slice of birthday cake and a delicious little coconut ice cream heart

2 cups water

on August the 11th I had:

1 quart water
mug of ‘sweet chai’ tea
2 cups veggie juice: cucumber, kale, parsley, fennel, sprouts, carrot, beetroot, spinach
2 cups ‘energy soup’ with coconut chips and a raw ‘burger’ on the side, little slice of leftover blueberry birthday cake YUM
3 cups water
teaspoon of spirulina powder
2 cups water
yummy fresh garden salad with raw ‘burgers’, onion bread and creamy sauce, followed by a little almond ice cream and fresh berries
cup of peppermint tea
2 cups water

After a whirlwind last few days in Iceland, I’m back in England again now...and the Monarch is back in the States :(
He speaks Thursday night in CT and Saturday in NYC – you can see all the details of his events HERE. Meanwhile, on the right-hand-side of the ocean, I’ll be attending the sublime Funky Raw Festie this weekend, which has now ceremoniously sold out of tickets...it’ll be GREAT fun, I’m sure...keep visualising bright sunny festival days, despite the current gale-force winds in southern England ;)
A huge, delicious THANK YOU to Iceland and to ALL the wonderful people we have been connecting with there for the last couple of months – love, love, LOVE you :) It is truly SUCH a unique place with outstanding natural beauty and resources...thank you for fresh water, clean air, yummy greens, geothermal wonders, loving community, enthusiasm, courage and of course...wild berries…MMMMMmmmmmm… Watch out for an interview about my weight loss story in Icelandic newspaper ‘24 Stundir’, scheduled to be printed this Friday...and I do hope it’s not three years again before we make it back to Icelandic shores... ;)

People all over the world will be starting up their blenders in unison, in honour of the mighty green drinks...everyone is invited to participate: loved ones, reluctant spouses, ‘less-than-impressed’ children, curious pooches and anyone else who could perhaps use some extra green love ;) There is a little $5 fee to ‘officially’ join the challenge, wherein you’ll be emailed the full details, recipes, two special interviews with the Goddess of Green Smoothies herself - Victoria Boutenko - and more, including exciting CONTEST details – there are LOTS of fun prizes up for grabs, including all the books by The Monarch and I, yummy gifts from Jinjee Talifero, the Boutenkos and others, PLUS, the ‘Grand Prize’ of a BLENDTEC Total Blender – HOW COOL :))) Incidentally, $3 of every $5 participation fee is also being donated to the ‘Sea Shephard Conservation Society’ to support their work protecting whales worldwide.
