Our New Home in Vilcabamba, Ecuador :)

WOW...so, we're at our new home in Ecuador now - we got here a couple of nights ago and life is just moving and shifting in such sublime directions right now - we are absolutely *LOVING* it here - I just came in from weeding the patches around some of the fruit trees we planted here last year and this morning we bought six more new baby trees: an avocado, two mangoes, three papaya trees...I am also starting off two avocado seeds and I have literally dozens of other different types of seeds to start off on our land...the produce at the farmers' market this morning was fantastic - we have a fridge and kitchen full of greens, mangoes, papayas, pineapples, avos, tomatoes and all kinds of yummies, including FRESH Incan berries :O :) We are feeling amazingly blessed and excited - there's so much to *do* and enjoy and unfold each day - I recommend keeping up with our adventures over at TheRawFoodWorld.TV for 'almost-real-time' daily updates ;) I also just posted a set of new pics to Flickr yesterday, from our first day here - see HERE...

WOW - I also absolutely *L*O*V*E*D* this 25-minute free talk by Dr. Thomas Lodi on Google Vids, called "Stop Making Cancer". I LOVE the work Dr. Thomas is doing and was just in awe of the info shared in this video and the way he presents it. As far as I can tell, he is speaking in front of a conference room full of other Doctors and the info he is sharing about raw foods, natural living, creating cancers and so on is *so* simple, so clear and seemingly so far away from the reality of his peers...I applaud this bold, clear, honest sharing - what a service to humanity :) I totally resonated with this talk and hope you enjoy it too - might be an interesting one to share with 'sceptical' friends too... ;)

All love,

*Tap Tap* - The Tapping World Summit Starts Tonight ;)

There's another free Summit event starting tonight that you may be very interested to participate in...this one is the 2010 Tapping World Summit and is based around EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) or Meridian Tapping. If you're not familiar with EFT, it is a very simple, *very* effective, free, easily learnt technique to release emotional blockages, by tapping with your own fingers on different parts of your own body. Those who have read my book "Raw Emotions" will know I recommend this technique in that book, for emotional release - this technique truly felt like a life-saver to me during a very challenging period of my own life and literally millions of other people worldwide use EFT daily too, for relieving tension, clearing emotional blips, removing anxiety, managing addictions, lowering pain and so on...
This "Tapping World Summit" starts tonight at 8pm Eastern (5pm Pacific) and runs for 10 days. It is totally *free* to listen to all the calls and if you're not familiar with EFT, they even have free intro calls you can listen in to NOW, to familiarise yourself with this technique. Apparently, when they ran this summit last year, more than 80,000 people worldwide listened in - :O - the power of EFT when just one person is practicing it can be life-shifting, now imagine tapping in unison with ALL those other like-minded lovelies, all around the world - phenomenal ;) You can get tapping and join in the fun HERE - enjoy :)

Mmmmmm, one of the lovely readers of this blog - Amanda in Florida, has started a very sweet little YouTube channel that I'd love to share with you all...it is called "Read Me A Story" and features Amanda reading children's story-books to camera. She began this venture as she lives quite far away from her grand-children and wantedto still be able to share story-time with them (wow, how marvellous the internet can be for connecting ;)
She has made the videos public, so that everyone can enjoy story-time if they want :) LOVE it...she has six stories up so far, with surely more to come...I love Amanda's sweet energy, expressive voice and clear enjoyment of this undertaking :) Here is her channel:

***PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGE***
***Our LIVE interview with Dr. Jameth Sheridan has been moved to February the 23rd (rather than the 26th) - it is still at the same time: 6pm Pacific time, 9pm Eastern.***
Our next guest on The Raw Food World Radio Show is... Dr. Jameth Sheridan, of Healthforce Nutritionals :) Jameth rarely gives interviews, so we're very excited to connect with him for this LIVE call.

Jameth says he would love to talk primarily about Antioxidants in this upcoming interview. He also said that this will likely spiral into the subjects of cancer, wholefood antioxidants and the new product we have 'At-Cost' above... the Acai Resveratrol Antioxidant Supreme. He was excited to say that this is just the TIP of the iceberg of what he would love to share in this interview.

As many of us know, Jameth is not a fan of the consumption of raw chocolate. Mr. Monarch intends to serve up some juicy Qs for Jameth on this topic, along with some of his usual array of intriguing and incorrigible questions... ;)

Join us for this exciting upcoming interview on February 23rd at 6pm (PST) :)

I trust y'all enjoyed a delicious Love Day yesterday, whether your twin flame is with you in the physical or not...
I enjoyed a really luscious celebration with Mr. M - I think quite definitely *the* yummiest Valentines I've ever experienced :) I had *no* idea what we were doing with the day - Mr. M had secretly planned out a whole day of joys and I was simply called on to let go and enjoy the flow - I LOVED it...I started the day by handing out chlorella tablet samples from a basket to people at the Ojai farmer's market as we shopped (my universal greeeen love offering for the day ;), then we shimmied off south, first meeting with great friends and marvellous floral displays, then lunching at the ever-divine Au Lac :) :) :) Onwards to a fabulous Cirque de Soleil show in an actual circus tent, with spectacularly inspiring feats and tricks on stage from the uber-talented performers...what an amazing way to celebrate :)
When I was growing up, I'm not sure I ever once received a Valentines Day card - this was always a very painful time of the year for my fragile ego, so it is a genuine, nourishing joy for me now to have my beloved in my life to celebrate with, every day and especially on this day...I feel very blessed :)

Sending *YOU* all love, light and joy tooooooooo,

Have *You* Ever Had an "Ice Cream Bean" Fruit...?

Three things I'm currently excited about:

1. 'Ice Cream Bean' Fruits :) This evening I found a new (to me) fruit in a local store in Ojai, called "The Ice Cream Bean" fruit, or "Inga edulis" by its Latin name...it is *so* cool :) It is shaped like a huge green pod, which opens up to reveal cotton-candy-like white pods of fruit, wrapped around black beans. The white fruit tastes like *vanilla ice cream* and apparently in some places the black beans are cooked and eaten too...wow :) It is native to S. America, so hopefully we'll be able to grow it in Ecuador... We filmed a video on this yummy fruit tonight, that we'll post over at TheRawFoodWorld.TV soon...

2. Permaculture in Vilcabamba...I recently found out that there's a Canadian guy called Yves running a 10 acre Permaculture village on the outskirts of Vilcabamba - YAY :) He went there at the tender age of 20 with less than $2000 to his name and a vision in his heart ;) He now has a community with abode/cob buildings, a yurt, a humanure system, amazing gardens and the intention to run Permaculture courses there in the future - *LOVE* it - we hope to connect with him when we get back down there soon...you can read more abt Yves' adventures HERE.

3. Green Smoooothies - I am *loving* drinking green smoothies at the moment, throughout the day...as some of you know, I have a sweeet tooth and whenever I eat something savoury, I always want to eat smthg sweet after it, which can lead to other-than-optimal food combinations...my current side-step of this pattern involves drinking green juices and smoothies throughout the day...because green smoothies are already sweet, I feel no pull to have anything else sweet after them - in fact the only thing I add in is Spirulina Manna sprinkled on top, so I have 'spirulina-mouth' condition more-or-less most of the time at the moment... ;)

What are *you* excited about, dear reader...?

on February the 10th it was mmmmmy sister's 35th birthday and I enjoyed:

1 quart water
2 cups greeeeeen juice
2 cups greeeeeeen smoothie: apple, sunflower greens, meiner's lettuce, chia flour, water, with Spirulina Manna sprinkled on top
2 cups water
1.5 cups reishi/shilajit/ormus tea
2 cups greeeeeeeeen juice
1 quart greeeeeeen smoothie: apple, sunflower greens, meiner's lettuce, chia flour, water, with Spirulina Manna sprinkled on top
3 cups greeeeeeen smoothie: apple, cilantro, meiner's lettuce, chia flour, water, with Spirulina Manna sprinkled on top
2 cups reishi/shilajit/ormus tea
2 cups water

I've been doing quite a lot of 'manual labour' in the last week or so, at our warehouse, where things have been intensely expanding and there is a lot to 'do' every day...I actually really enjoy it - I love doing physical work and used to do a lot of it before I started the RawReform website in 2004. Prior to website-ery I was working on farms, teaching English to primary school children, working in greenhouses and so on...and these last few years I've been tapping a lot on computer keyboards instead... ;) Mmmmm...it feels so *right* to be moving around all day... So, I'm really enjoying helping out in the warehouse, movin' and shakin' all day long and am even further excited to get back down to our land in Ecuador in a couple of weeks, to start channeling my activity into the land there - yeeeeeeee-HAH :)

on February the 11th I loved:

1 quart water
1.5 cups reishi/shilajit/ormus tea
2 cups greeeeen juice
2 cups greeeeeeen smoothie: apple, meiner's lettuce, parsley, chia flour, Ormus Greens, water, with Spirulina Manna sprinkled on top
2 cups greeeeeeen smoothie: apple, meiner's lettuce, parsley, chia flour, Ormus Greens, water, with Spirulina Manna sprinkled on top
1 quart greeeen smoothie: apple, meiner's lettuce, parsley, chia flour, Ormus Greens, water, with Spirulina Manna sprinkled on top
2 cups greeeeeen juice
3 cups greeeeen smooothie: papaya, boysenberries, sunflower greens, romaine lettuce, chia flour, water, with Spirulina Manna sprinkled on top
1.5 cups reishi/shilajit/ormus tea
2 cups water

In the midst of the warehouse cyclone of activity this week, our dear friend Kiumars Imandel of TheGuruOfYou.com came to visit, mid-Juice Feast, to pick up some juicy supplies, share some much-appreciated energy work with us and do some filming - fun :) He interviewed me for about an hour and is posting the clips up to his YouTube account - you can see the first one here:

Kiu's a great interviewer and asked lots of insightful, juicy Qs about my life pre-raw, our intentions in Ecuador, the relationship between Mr. M and I, my 'spiritual' life practices and lots more...enjoy ;)

All love,
Ms. Stokes-Monarch. xxx

Five Fave New Raw Products :)

Mr. Monarch is seemingly on a new product rampage of late, for TheRawFoodWorld.com - every week we have stacks of new boxes arriving at the warehouse, so I thought today I'd share with you *my* top five new products that we carry, in no particular order except the first one, which must be, hands down, one of the foods my body most resonates with of anything I've ever eaten - LOVE it ;) Here we go:

1. Acai Powder - I don't know what is going on with me and this powder, I just absolutely *LOVE* it and have been eating it daily since I came off my recent 34-day Juice Feast...it tastes like cereal or...nuts or smthg to me, very high in Omega Fatty Acids and nothing like I would have expected it to taste, as a berry powder...I totally resonate with it and regularly have purple/black teeth and lips these days as a result ;) Here's a video of me making a very simple smoothie/pudding recipe with it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4mx23E78gE and you can get Acai Powder in our store HERE.

2. Hurraw Lip Balms - ooooo, this is such a *sweet* product :) This line of raw lip balms were apparently 2 years in the making by their dedicated creator and it shows - there is hurrawbalm vanilla-150.jpga lot of love in these luscious little lip sticks...we have 6 delicious flavours for you to savour: chocolate, lime, orange, coconut, vanilla and tinted cinnamon (gives your lips a pouty red glow ;). These balms are *flying* off the shelves here - catch 'em while you can...you'll find them in our store HERE.

3. Hunza Dried Apricots - these are silly good. They are dried apricots unlike any you have surely ever tried - the taste is like the flavour of apricot x500 - *INTENSE* and amazingly yummy. They kind of crack and melt in the mouth and are from the super nutrient-dense Hunza valley...we did a video on them here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-sBNI4_ioA and you can find them in the store HERE.

4. Reishi/Shilajit/Ormus Tea - WOW, anyone who reads this blog regularly will know I've been drinking this stuff pretty much daily too since we got back to California - it is really tasty and great for immunity too. Everyone at our warehouse loves it and I regularly make up big batches of it to give out to all the workers ;) One of our guys was actually feeling really unwell recently, with flu-like symptoms - I made him a special personalised brew of this tea, camu powder, angstrom zinc, colloidal silver and of course LOVE and the next day he was better :) NICE :) Get your brew on HERE.

5. Diviana Nectar - OMGoddess, this product is truly *divine*...we got a sample of it a few months back and as soon as I opened it, I knew we had to get it for the store ;) lol...it's a sticky, nutrient-dense, tar-like elixir concoction of all kinds of herbs, superfoods and lusciousness, all wrapped up luxuriously in a jar of pure raw honey...outrageous...we did a video on this one too - you can see that here: http://www.youtube.com/watch? v=Krp883Wl8Ek and get your hands on a pot of this yumminess HERE.

Happy 35th Birthday to Mr. Monarch :)

This is a special Birthday Bless-Up announcement for Mr. Monarch, who celebrates his 35th year Earthside today, Monday February 8th :) I am laughing as I write this as he just told me that he realised *today* it's his birthday tomorrow - he didn't even know - those of you who watch our TV show regularly will know that dates are not really the Monarch's forte... ;)

As a special birthday love flow to him from his raw family, I would love for anyone who feels drawn, to send birthday greetings to this rare, raw aquarian maverick and perhaps even let him know what you appreciate about him - that would be LOVELY...

You might post something to his Facebook Page, Twitter Account, leave a comment on his TV Show, or his YouTube Account...email him or simply send loving vibes ;) It's all appreciated...

THANK YOU, lovely tribe ;) HAPPY BIRTHDAY Mr. Monarch :)

All love,

<3, love, LOVE this new Green Smoothie Song, posted yesterday by Victoria Boutenko ;) Check it out and ENJOY those smoooooothies... :) I've been drinking so many green smoothies lately, working our way steadily through the GLUT of persimmons that Mr. M bought at the end of persimmon season ;) (LOVE Valya's facial expressions in this video... ;)

on February the 3rd it was a *hot* day and I loved:

1 quart water
2 cups greeeeeeeeen juice
2 cups water
2 cups greeeeen smoothie: persimmon, cilantro, spinach, sunflower greens, chia flour, water, with 4 tbsp acai powder on the side
2 cups water
2 cups greeeeen smoothie: persimmon, cilantro, spinach, sunflower greens, chia flour, water, with 4 tbsp acai powder on the side and a little handful of soaked/flavoured/dehydrated almonds - YUM :)
3 cups water
1 cup veggie juice
2.5 cups coconut water blended with Greener Grasses
2 cups water

I also loved a lightworker message sent to me by Ms. Kate Magic yesterday, involving focusing our loving intentions towards the people of Haiti (and beyond) as we eat or drink anything, to help send nourishing energy that way, in the manner of the energy flow involved in traditional Vision Quests - you can read the details HERE.
This reminded me too of something mentioned to me recently by one of the workers at The Tree of Life, who was raised in an intentional community. She mentioned that to help people not 'space out' and eat mindlessly there, one of the ideas they carried in that community was to, for example, be conscious for the 3rd bite of every meal, or the 7th bite, or whichever you choose, preferably of course resulting in being conscious and aware with every bite...and if on top of that we are also directing that nourishing flow to places where it may be really appreciated, well, that sounds like an inspired use of time/space/flow to me... ;)

All love, all the time, expanding in all directions,
Ms. Angela Stokes-Monarch. xxx

Five Tips for A Vibrant Raw Valentine :)

The latest RawReform Newsletter went out today. If you missed it, you can see the whole thing HERE and below are some highlights:

OoOoOoooo, International *Spread the LOVE* Day is coming up sooooooon, on Feb 14th :) Mr. Monarch says he's taking me on a surprise date that day - nice ;) What about YOU? Who will you be spreading the love with...and how?
My sense is that most people these days lead remarkably stressful lives - how about a few ideas to lower those cortisol levels and relax into a yummy, flowing time together? Here are five top tips for a Vibrant Valentines Ext-Raw-Vaganza:

1. Forget the cut flowers - gift someone you love a *living* plant or tree :) You might even do some seed or tree-planting together as a special Valentines date - imagine sharing the fruits of your work together months or years down the line - what a wonderful way to seal that special bond :)

2. Forget the slimy mainstream chocs too ;) If you're gonna give chocolates, maybe give 'em raw style, babeee...we have a tempting array of raw chocs to woo your loved one with this season...we even have special gift packs like the 'Chocolate Lover's Gift Pack' - see all those packs HERE. If raw cacao is not your tonic of choice, you can always rustle up some wonders in the kitchen with raw carob instead (which we happen to have as an 'At-Cost' special this month ;). Or check an inspiring raw recipe resource such as GoneRaw.com for fabulous chocolate/carob truffles, cakes, cookies and more...

3. Been eyeing some bling-ey jewellry for your loved one? Hmmmm, what about indulging them with their very own Whiffer necklace instead? Keep them tanked up on whiffer tulipwoodsmall.jpgsmooooth smelling vibes all day every day with one of these aromatherapy necklaces and essential oils. ...and while we're on the subject of aromatherapy, how about sinking into a wonderful lavender-scented bath with your loved one this Loveday (filled via a water filter of course ;) Or luxuriating in a shared massage with jojoba oil, essential oils, cacao butter, shea butter or something else rich and dreamy...

On January the 29th I enjoyed:

1 quart water

3 yummmmy date samples at the market, handful of baby persimmons

various samples at the FUNdamentals class: almond milk, green smoothie, buckwheat granola bar, carrot cake
2 cups veggie juice
2 cups water

4. Expensive Restaurant Date? Mmmm, maybe instead your loved one would be uber-thrilled to share a cosy, (beeswax/soy) candle-lit meal with you at home, or with a group of yummy raw friends? You might find inspiration in a raw recipe book or DVD, create a sublime menu of lovingly-made choice dishes and enjoy it together in peaceful surroundings...mmmm, nice :) Or maybe you have a desserts party together, maybe you actually make the food together, maybe you have a picnic outside, maybe you take the leftovers out on the street to share with the homeless...ooooo, how many ways can *you* find to share the love? ;)

5. Visions of Love - maybe your loved-one would be thrilled this Valentines Day to co-create a vision board with you of your *ultimate* lives together - you might use drawings, writing, cut-out pictures, photos...whatever works, to create together a stunning visual cue of your shiniest possibilities - deeeeply nourishing, inspiring, connecting, creative and...free :) Enjoy...

Happy Love-Day, Love-Month and ever-flowing Lovelyness to you all, however you choose to enjoy this season of hearts... :)

(...btw, one RawReform blog reader, Nathalie the "Raw Foods Witch", up in Canada, would love to let you know she has a special book full of guidance on how to manage a relationship where one partner is raw and the other not...for lots of loving tips, you can check out her book HERE... ;)
