Sensitivities...

As you’ll be aware if you follow our shows over at The Raw Food World, Mr. Monarch is very unwell at the moment :(
He went to a reunion party last weekend and was in a smoky environment for 4 hours. He is extremely sensitive to cigarette smoke and his body has been protesting wildly and detoxing intensely ever since. He has been water–fasting, fever–ish and bedridden since Monday, as the toxins leave his system :(
Please join me in a 'virtual vigil', to send him masses of love, light, healing, positivity and upliftment if you feel drawn to do so – that is what I am doing constantly right now, as I still cannot be there with him, to help directly... All visualisations of him as healthy, happy and peaceful are gratefully received ;) Also please understand if you have tried to contact him recently and have not heard back – he will respond when able...right now his focus is recovery...thank you.

on Jan the 29th I had:

1 quart water
2 cups greeeeeeeeen juice: celery, cucumber, cabbage, kale, local greens, fennel, Jerusalem artichokes, ginger, lime
2 cups energy soup with flax crackers and tahini on the side

1.5 cups homemade rejuvelac
2 cups deeeeeeeeeep red/purple juice: beetroot, purple cabbage, red kale, fennel, red bell peppers, carrot, ginger, lemon
little bowl of blended yummy stuff: carob powder, lucuma, maca, vanilla, cinnamon, water with some grawnola stirred in and a chunk of AMAZINGLY tasty goji-lemon bar from LoveForce - WOW :)
3 cups water

I am totally in LOVE with this song at the moment – ‘At Last’, sung by Beyonce at the ‘Inaugural Neighbourhood Ball’ for Barack and Michelle Obama. What a stunning performance :O – I have watched this countless times in the last 24 hours and it still moves me to tears almost every time – whew – powerful stuff. Thank you, Beyonce for sharing your gorgeous flow – what an amazing si*star* :)

I started to watch a wonderful film on YouTube today - it is a French film called 'The Green Beautiful' and offers an extremely refreshing view of life here on Earth, something along the lines of the visions foretold in the 'Anastasia' books...
The film is in 9 parts on YouTube, with French speaking and English subtitles. Warning - the subtitles go pretty fast at times - so, if you're following those, I find that just tuning into the overall meaning works, even if you perhaps miss some of the subtler nuances ;) I'm really enjoying it...you can view the first part, which opens quite slowly, at the link below, then use the 'related videos' functions to view the following parts if you'd like to - fun :)

...with a gentle heart and a mighty love,
please remember to send Mr. M lots of healing, light and love, if you will...
With gratitude,

Outrageously Healthy...

WELL, well, well...I’m very happy to report that since last I wrote, I have had my Medical in London for my US Visa and all appears to be well – very very relieeeeeeved thank you :) I feel like I’m one BIG step nearer back to my beloved :) YAY :)
HERE’s a little video from our TV show from that evening, in which we discussed some natural remedies for potentially helping the body to handle x–rays and other ‘shocks’ to the system (like the mild concussion I accidentally gave myself after the medical, in my spun–out excitement... ;)

I was also very happy to experience a yummy raw meal at Vitaorganic Restaurant in London that evening. WOW, it was packed, especially for a Monday evening - very encouraging to see :) As one person would get up from a table, someone else would be ready to fill their seat...and the juice and food was indeed very good :) Vitaorganic is one of the longest-running raw restaurants in London and is very centrally located at 74 Wardour Street, around the Leicester Square/Piccadilly Circus/Soho/Theatres/Chinatown area - fun ;) It's also an easy place to take not-so-raw-orientated folk, as they have a huge hearty buffet of cooked vegan foods on offer too... You can see more info abt Vitaorganic HERE.

3 cups greeeeeeeeeeen juice: celery, cucumber, kale, spinach, Jerusalem artichokes, zucchini, ginger, lime

A nice man in Norway contacted me recently wanting to do an interview about my weight loss for his website. He asked some interesting Qs and you can see my As HERE ;). I especially liked the question asking me to summarise ‘the five most important steps’ in my weight loss journey… We also covered social issues, the role of genetics and my book ‘Raw Emotions’ – you can see it all HERE (it’s not in Norwegian ;)

On the subject of interviews, I will also be answering Qs soon for the excitingly–titled ‘Outrageously Healthy’ project ;) This series of 10 free interviews has been set up by the lovely Lenore Miller in Australia and starts soon, in February. You can see all the details on her site HERE, if you’d like to tap into 10 free interviews on releasing fat, changing your habits, getting empowered, natural skin care, building self–esteem and other yummy topics, including me quite possibly talking about...hmmmm, who knows? dandruff? origami? shoehorns? we shall seeeeeeeee...I’m on in March ;) Maybe I’ll just sing for the whole interview... ;) Check out all the outrageous action HERE.

One love and innumerable delightful explosions of joy,
Miss Stokes. xxx

Create your Own Jukebox :)))

I am feeling very pleased. I have long thought what a lovely idea it would be if one could watch YouTube clips back–to–back, all joined together into a big sequence of whatever you choose to view...WELL, I have recently learnt, via dear Shazzle–Dazzle, that this IS indeed possible :) Maybe you all knew this already ;) lol – I was very excited though about this discovery...
The way it works is through PLAYLISTS on YouTube – ah–HAH, that’s what they’re for ;) Anyone can create multiple ‘playlists’ of their different clips, then anyone else can also go and enjoy those lists, just by clicking on them – they load up and all run back–to–back, so you can get on with juicing or bathing or exercising or whatever you’re doing, with no need to keep going and choosing the next video to watch ;) You can literally create your own jukebox of all your favourite songs or interviews or...whatever you like – and all for free :) LOVE it...
Since learning about the wonder of Playlists, I have been listening to muchos Esther and Jerry Hicks/Abraham/Law of Attraction downloadings, via Shazzie’s playlists, which you can see HERE.
I have also created some playlists of my own, which you can see on my YouTube channel HERE. I have one with ‘Beautiful Songs’, one of ‘Music to Dance To’ and one with videos of myself and the Monarch from other peoples’ channels. SOOOOOO fun to create these music lists especially ;) I’ll surely be doing more with this – ENJOY :)
(N.B., to find anyone's playlists, just go to their channel - e.g. mine is at http://www.youtube.com/rawreform - and click on the little link for 'playlists' along the top of the screen, right underneath the white YouTube bar ;)

Ooooom, while we’re on the subject of Esther & Jerry Hicks/Abraham, here’s a very cool little nugget that came through from the PhilosophersNotes.com daily email today:

“People talk about the reality of their life as if it is important. And we want you to understand, it’s only the temporary indicator. Do you go to the gas station—your gas gauge is on empty—do you go to the gas station and look at your gas gauge in horror? “How did this happen? [Fun] Why, why, why did this happen to me?” Do you lay your head on the steering wheel and just sob? “Oh, look what it’s come to. [Fun] I’m finished. I’ve lived all of this life, and look where I am.” Or do you just fill up.”
~ Esther and Jerry Hicks from Money, and the Law of Attraction
That’s classic. Meditate, dance, exercise, eat well, laugh, play, create, journal, read, smile, love, breathe deeply, pet your dog, think positive thoughts, imagine your ideal future with such intensity that you can FEEL it, do whatever you need to do to FILL UP. But don’t (pretty, please) look at your “gas” gauge in horror. No need to sob. Just fill up. :)

LOL – love it :) If you still haven’t signed up for your own free PhilosophersNotes account, you can do that HERE, to access multitudes of inspiring free MP3s, PDFs, lectures and more... :)

'Anastasia' Workshops - Create Your Space of Love :)

Anastasia Workshops
Oooooo, here's a very exciting special announcement from those uber-yumsters behind the 'Anastasia'/Ringing Cedars books. There's a series of weekend workshops coming up in the US, based around the teachings of Anastasia, led by Dr. Leonid Sharashkin (co-translator, editor & publisher of the English editions). YUMMMMMMMMMMM - wow, I really hope I get back to the US in time for one of these :)

The workshop team apparently just did a fabulously successful Australian tour and now these workshops are being offered for the first time in the USA. Here are the upcoming dates:

  • Feb 21/22 - Olympia, WA
  • Feb 28/Mar 1 - Ashland, OR
  • Mar 7/8 - Chicago, IL
  • Mar 14/15 - Woodstock, NY
  • Mar 21/22 - Santa Cruz, CA
  • Mar 28/29 - Santa Fe, NM
  • April 4/5 - Boulder, CO

Each workshop is only open to 60 participants - eeeeeeeek - so I'd suggest getting in there quick if you'd like to play... Here's some of what's on offer, from their site HERE:

Learn how to create your own 'Space of Love', help raise healthy and loving children, grow healing plants & vegetables, encoded just for your body and transform Earth into a truly magnificent 'Paradise Planet' in the process ;)

The reading of Anastasia and the Ringing Cedars Series is filling millions of people worldwide with tremendous inspiration. These books awaken in us the primordial memory of who we are and what our life purpose really is. Yet making the transition to this new life and new awareness may seem like a formidable task - so far have we deviated from our own essence and from the natural forces that nurture us all.

    So...

Just how do we make this transition to the brighter, happier, more fulfilling existence? How do we apply Anastasia's concepts to real life? How do we start the movement towards living to our full potential, while creating a genuine, living space of love around us? And how do we make the first steps towards establishing a family domain that will last forever?

In these two-day workshops with Dr. Leonid Sharashkin, you will discover answers to these questions, and gain many unique insights on how to put Anastasia's vision into practice. The workshops are intensive, highly interactive, practical and great fun! If you've never heard Leonid speak (he usually gets standing ovations!) know that you are in for a real treat. Leonid is a delight to listen to and you cannot fail to come away from this workshop well-equipped and totally inspired to begin laying the foundations for a wonderful new life - for yourself and your family's future generations!

    What You'll Learn on Day 1 (Saturday 8:30am - 5:30pm)
Session 1. Creating your Space of Love. The Meaning of the Space of Love.
Session 2. Creating your Family Domain
Session 3. Gardening the Anastasia Way - Spiritual Permaculture
Session 4. Happiness is your Domain - Visualizing Reality the Anastasia Way

    Day 2 (Sunday 8:30am -5:30pm)
    Session 5. Creating Communities
Session 6. Navigating Between the Time and Timeless
Session 7. Children - Birth and Education
Session 8. The Return of Anastasia

This is your chance to meet like-minded others; to find and begin creating your own Space of Love; and to benefit from the wealth of knowledge and experience of the delightful Dr. Leo!

  • WOW...there you have it...I think this is a very exciting development for all of us interested in the information Anastasia shares...and I sincerely hope that I can make it back to the US for one of these workshops, so that Mr. M and I can apply what we learn to our own 'Kin's Domain' in Ecuador :) EXCITING...enjoy - and if you make it to one of these events, please let us know how it goes for you - we'd love to hear more...

    All love,
    Angellalalalalaaaaaa. xxx

(P.S. - don't forget, today (Jan 23rd) is the 40TH Birthday of dear Raw Si*Star* Shazzie - another huge lover of Anastasia's message - if you haven't yet picked up any fabulous freebies from Shazzie's Birthday Bonanza Giveaway, you can do so HERE. Introducing: The RevitaLive Plan :)

OooOooOoooo, time for another EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT :)
I am delighted to say that our new 30–Day Raw Food Weight Loss Programme is now READY and live :)

For the last couple of months, myself, the Monarch and the Giannis have been working away excitedly in the background, piecing together a unique weight loss programme, which is delivered straight to your inbox every day by email.

We have pooled together all of our resources and the best tips we have to share, into a single, dynamic, effective programme, that we’re VERY excited to share...
It’s been named ‘The RevitaLive Plan’ and you see aallllllll the exciting details in full HERE.

Some of the issues that the program addresses include how to...

★ Release weight naturally using a system that has been proven.
★ Let go of unsupportive habits that hold you back from reaching your goals.
★ Eliminate food cravings for good.
★ Create simple yet powerful meals and snacks for weight loss and great health.
★ Satisfy your sweet tooth and still stay healthy.
★ Identify the right supplements for your weight loss and overall health.
★ Stick to your exercise plan.
★ Succeed with your meal plans.

★ Find motivation ALL the time, whenever you want.
★ Clear your mind from self-defeating chatter.

Here’s a quick summary of what’s on offer:

*Daily Emails – containing a ‘how to’ video on the topic of the day, plus suggested links, further reading/viewing and related products. Daily topics range from recipe demos and detox techniques to fitness guidance, top tips for handling cravings and much more– we cover a full range of vital concepts for a healthy lifestyle. Each video is around 5–10 minutes in length; easy to watch, practical, useful information – it’s like the next best thing to having us there in your house showing you how we live this lifestyle ;)

*Recipe and Meal Planners – we provide a full four–weeks of healthy, tasty recipes and meal plans. There are 2 plans to choose from – either totally raw or ‘Intermediate’ – you choose which plan to follow, or mix n’ match. (All recipes are courtesy of Solla, our dear Icelandic raw goddess, who was named as one of the top raw chefs of the year last year in the ‘Best of Raw 2008’ Awards :)

*Exercise Manual – access to an entire 250 page manual of tried and tested fitness routines from your ‘Personal Trainers’, Kevin and Annmarie Gianni, with every level from Beginners to Advanced.

*The Inner Circle’ online community – this is the place to connect with others who are following the RevitaLive programme or are simply interested in raw foods/healthy lifestyles. You have a FREE 30-Day trial of this supportive community, as part of the RevitaLive Programme.

*Full Instructions for an optional 1, 3 or 5 day juice cleanse mid–programme.

*60 minute in–depth interview with myself, on healing emotional eating patterns with a raw food lifestyle.

We wanted to make sure we keep the price for this programme affordable, so your investment for the whole 30–Day Programme is $67 – less than the cost of a bagel or cappuccino or raw chocolate bar per day ;) Everything is delivered to you online.
If you’d like to, you can also ‘upgrade’ your order, to receive PRINTED, hard–copy versions of some of the materials – the Recipe/Meal Planners, the Exercise Manual and the 60–minute Interview with me. The ‘upgrade’ package investment is $117.

This is not a ‘one–off’ event for 30 days – there is no specific start or finish date, which means you can start whenever you like and finish whenever you like, with the full support of the worldwide ‘Inner Circle’ community to tap into at all times, 24/7/365, for connections and guidance.
We are REALLY excited to share this simple, clear, dynamic info in a package that makes it super–easy for people to understand and start applying immediately. The choice of two menu plans also makes this more accessible for those who may be a little wary of eating totally raw – so, please pass this info and invitation along to anyone you think could use some extra sparkle and some solid guidance to permanently release any excess pounds...let's keep on edging raw food consciousness out into the 'mainstream' ;) Yeeeeeeeee-HAH :) (The programme also has a full money-back guarantee ;)
    FUN :)
We hope you enjoy this new programme and adventure just as much as we’ve enjoyed piecing it all together...

    ENJOY :)
    All love,
    Angela. xxx

    Co-creating Home - in Vilcabamba, Ecuador ;O

Well, well, WELL...if you didn't hear yet from Mr. M's massive newsletter blast, our 'big announcement' is out in the world now, flickering about and seemingly catalysing even more exciting magic into being... ;)
Yes, we are very excited to share that we have become caretakers of some beautiful land in Ecuador, in an amazing-looking community of 'eco-preneurs' and we SO look forward to getting there, getting our hands in the mineral-rich soil, creating our 'kin's domain' and starting to groooooowwwwww all kinds of yumminess - yeeeeeeeeee-HAH :)))
Aaaaaaaaah, my deepest desires seem to be slowly manifesting into the physical :) For years now, the main thing I have always seen in my visions for my ideal life have been: land, yurt, growing food, community, raising children 'naturally', living with my beloved in a warm, sunny place...weeelllllllllll, ask (clearly) and the Universe certainly seems to deliver... ;) It may take its time - that's all part of the game though...which is of course still ever-unfolding...
For those of you who haven't seen anything about this adventure yet, HERE is a beautiful photo tour of the area, which you can see on Mike Adams' site NaturalNews.com. This photo tour was actually the first thing we ever knew of Vilcabamba and...it was love at first sight ;) We're so excited to get to this veritable 'paradise' of nearly year-round springtime weather (no need for heating OR air conditioning in housing), longevity, mineral-rich soil, clean air, pristine water, eco-communities, like-minded lovelies, abundant organic produce, sunshine and so much more... FUN :) I'm sure we'll be holding retreats and so on there at some point in the future, for y'all to come and play if you'd love to... :)
Incidentally, if all this is jingling some major jangles for you as you read and you'd like to come and play more permanently in the gardens toooooo, then you may be interested to know that we just heard this week of one prime plot on the property that has come up for private sale. It is a gorgeous river-side plot, about 4 acres in size, ideal for growing nutrient-rich food - if you're genuinely interested to know more, you can email me on angela@rawreform.com and I'll send you more details ;)

on January the 17th I had:

1 quart greeeen juice: celery, cucumber, endive, fennel, broccoli, kale, spinach, ginger, lime
    2 cups water

On the subject of 'Placing Your Order with the Universe', I listened recently to a really sweet little 9 minute podcast by Erin Pavlina (wife of Steve Pavlina), where she shares an easy way to understand the 'Law of Attraction'. She explains so well how to let the Universe understand you clear intentions, through a little story she tells - short, sweet, succinct, useful - you can listen to it HERE if you'd like to flow with that...
Steve and Erin actually have a whole collection of wonderful podcasts like this - and WOW - these people have sooooo much to share - love it - you can tap into all of their free offerings HERE. Erin also recently finished a 30-Day raw food trial - you can read all about that on her blog HERE.

I shall leave you today with a yummy musical interlude that you may indeed perhaps have seen already, as it seems to be doing the email rounds at the moment ;) It's a version of the popular song 'Stand by Me', with a difference... It is sung by street musicians/buskers from all around the world, all synched together into one rendition - and it's beautiful :) It's from the amazing project 'PlayingForChange.com', which is doing outreach work based around music to connect communities all over the world. The footage for this one song alone was collected over many years, in many countries...check it out at the link below if you haven't seen it yet - it's had over 4 million hits on YouTube already, in just 2 months ;O

OoOoOooo, seems like Raw Food Adventures are hotting up down under in Australia...we hear that MANY raw food speakers are zipping down that way to share some yumminess this year – the lovely Boutenko ladies, Gabriel Cousens and even Dr. Fred Bisci are apparently all going south soon – WOW, I haven’t even ever seen Dr. Bisci speak yet ;) lol...

One reader – Lila – who is visiting the beautiful Margaret River region of Australia wrote recently to tell us that she’s helping out at an amazing new organic raw eatery/yoga studio/shop/garden centre, called Samudra. Lila wrote:
“Samudra offers a full schedule of yoga classes, a retail shop featuring custom-designed organic clothing and an amazing raw "food room" with outdoor seating and permaculture garden. It's a great place to work and a beautiful place to live right near the beach.”
    …aaaaaaaaaaaand…Exciting Opportunity Alert ;) :
The owner of Samudra, Sheridan, is currently looking for two qualified raw food chefs AND an event/function manager. FUN :) Candidates must be under 31 years of age to qualify for an Aussie work visa OR be an Australia/New Zealand resident. Qualified candidates should email: lila (at) samudra (dot) com (dot) au for more info. FUN :)

...and while we’re knocking around down under, let’s pay a little visit too, to Casey – a lovely woman who we met while in Australia this time last year. Casey had chronic eczema and Mr. M and I gave some guidance to help her move through that and heal. She now has a beautiful new website HERE and has lots of yummy things on offer there, like a free report on ‘awakening your va–va–voooom’… ;)

    ENJOY :)

As I write this, I’m on Day 2 of a Green Juice F(e)ast. YummmMmmMmMmmmmm...I’ve actually never f(e)asted on JUST green juice before, I think...always some carrot juice usually too, or fruits, coconuts etc – just greeeeeeeeeeeeeens for now though and WOW – what an impact it has – feels sooooo very clean and cleansing... it’s quite amazing to me to go a whole day with nothing but green things passing my lips (except water)...
Speaking of green juice, in our latest video on TheRawFoodWorld, you can meet my parents, as I deliver them some greeeeeeeeeen juice – will they like it? You can see HERE ;)

Mr. M also recently reviewed Blessings’ Kale Chips HERE.
The ‘Quite Cheesey’ kale chips are indeed ridiculously good – one of the tastiest raw food products I’ve ever tried. There’s still MASSES of kale knocking abt in the Northern Hemisphere at the moment it seems, so, if you have some kale, plus a dehydrator, you can even make your OWN kale chips :) Annmarie and Kevin Gianni demonstrate how to make Kale Chips HERE and there’s also a popular–looking recipe HERE on RawFreedomCommunity for kale chips (check out the outrageously cute picture of a puppy eating kale chips on there too ;). Plus remember that you can learn to make your own dehydrator HERE if you don’t have one ;)

    Make your Own Dehydrator...

    Interviews Galore... ;)
Well now, tomorrow (wed 14th), I shall be conducting a live, in–depth interview on the subject of Raw Emotions, with questions directed by Mr. Kevin Gianni. Questioning shall begin promptly at 12 noon EST (9am Pacific, 5pm UK), all being well and will be archived and transcripted afterwards by internet elves with pointy teeth (possibly ;). This is an ‘Inner Circle’ call, so if you’d like to come along to play, you can follow THIS LINK to join in the jollies and send in YOUR questions... ;)

You can also read a nifty little Q&A article with the Monarch in the new issue of the beautiful Purely Delicious Magazine HERE.
Mr. M also just did a ‘Let’s Talk Raw’ interview with Revvell on Sunday – you can listen to the archive of that HERE.

You can also see recent mini-interviews with other raw yumsters on our online show, The Raw Food World TV Show :) Yeee-HAH - meet our chief shipping goddess Lindsey for example, HERE.

OoOooooo, that Mr. Raw Model’s been busy on his land – have you seen his recent video of his geodome, which houses his exotic fruit tree collection, amidst a Minnesota winter? lol – gotta LOVE it...I am soooooooooo excited abt Anthony’s permaculture project and feel so grateful that he’s sharing videos and updates about it all – total yumster ;)
You can watch the dome video HERE – sending blessings and love for all those fruit trees to thrive and bear many bountiful gifts for years to come...

HERE’s a fabulous link for you if you’d like to dehydrate some foods, don’t have a dehydrator, yet DO have some pieces of wood, screws and some light bulbs (plus maybe someone ‘handy’ to fit the pieces of the puzzle together ;) I came across this webpage many years ago now, way back at the start of my raw food journey and was excited to see it’s still up now – enjoy ;) ...and thanks to ‘Kath’ for sharing this on her site...

Raw Pregnancy and Raising Raw Children

Now, don't get excited - I'm not pregnant or having a child anytime soon ;) I just watched a wonderful little YouTube video today of Summer Kolesar speaking with Paul Nison about raising raw children and got inspired... You can see that video HERE. Summer is a beautiful soul si*star* who I had the pleasure to meet when I spoke in Asheville in 2007. If I recall correctly, she was raised ‘semi–wild’ in Canada, foraging the bounties of nature and she is still a wonderful wild–food gatherer to this day, plus all–round gorgeous raw goddess and mother ;)

As you may recall, the current RawReform Giveaway Contest is also about raising children raw (you can see the details for the giveaway HERE to win a signed copy of Shazzie’s latest book, Evie’s Kitchen). We have wonderful suggestions flowing in daily by email about how to best help children eat healthier food...
SO, with all this wonderful info buzzing around, I felt inspired to compile a list of useful resources for those interested in raising children raw. This is actually smthg people ask me about often, although I am not (yet ;) a mother, so I thought it would be helpful to collect all these fabulous resources together in one place, for all to enjoy ;)
(FYI - I also just posted this info to the main RawReform site in the articles section HERE, in case you'd like to refer to it without the food logs etc in the middle ;)
