A Space of Love... :)

Are you ready for the beautiful Space of Love/Funky Raw festie coming up next weekend – August 14th–17th – in the UK?
Mmmmm, I would be there in a split second with fairy bells on if I were in the UK right now – I went to the festie last year in the Sussex countryside and loved it sooooo much, I was beaming the whole weekend ;) I'm in New England right now though, rather than the 'original' England, so I'll be sending blissings from here instead... ;) Some of the intended delights of the festie include: raw food workshops/demos/talks, yoga, live music, wild food walks, healing area, drumming circle, trance dance, permaculture, sauna, kids' area and sound healing – yummmmmmm ;)
You can check out all the details and reserve your space on the SpaceofLove site, HERE. Enjoooyyyyyyy...

on August the 5th I had:

1 quart water
mug of the Rawtographer's outrageously potent herbal tea with schizandra berries, goji berries, medicinal mushrooms, pau d'arco and more...
1.5 cups goji water with Marine Phytoplankton
bottle of greeeeeeeen juice and bottle of Royal Flush from Liquiteria
cherry and fig feast with almond butter and a slice of yummy raw lemon cheesecake :)
1 quart water
bottle of greeeen juice
little handful bee pollen/hemp seed mixture, 2 Brazil nuts and a curry powerwrap
3 cups water

Well, speaking of celebrations, we had a lot of fun at David Wolfe's b–day party in NYC this week and he just posted a video online of the talk he did there. If you didn't see that and would like to check out the action, you can watch it HERE, to find out which kinds of plants he's been growing on his properties, hear how we all met up in Vilcabamba and even maybe learn how to reverse male pattern baldness – lol ;) It's 63 mins long – enjoy ;)

on August the 6th I had:

1 quart water
cherry, peach and blueberry feast with creamy almond butter
1 quart spring water straight from the spring
2 tbsp bee pollen, a few leaves of fresh–picked sheep's sorrel and a few wild berries, 1 tbsp green powder, a strip of dulse
little bowl of sauerkraut and kim chee with creamy almond butter and olives – wow :)
1 cup powerful women's herbal tea from Goji Girl
2 cups water

Giving Value...

As I write this, I am on my way to Mexico and back to my beloved, all being well... :)
Today I packed down and cleaned house again for the...Xth...time this year. As I mentioned recently, I’ve been house–sitting at my parents’ place in England these last couple of weeks and simultaneously clearing out masses of physical STUFF from my past :) FUN :) On Thursday night we had an amazingly lovely raw girlie giveaway potluck and I happily released a great deal of old belongings (as well as very happily becoming the proud owner of some sweet new clothes from some yummy raw si*stars*). Today felt really momentous to me as I stood in my parents’ attic looking at the little pile of ‘stuff’ that remains now, that is connected to me. All stacked together, it fills a space of perhaps 3 large cardboard boxes sat next to each other...I stood and looked at it for quite a while, feeling intrigued to see SO clearly the stuff that is related to me. I don’t imagine many people often see all their physical belongings packed so clearly into a space together – things are usually spread out all over the place in houses and so on – I just found it really interesting to look at this pile of stuff and know that this is now all there is. Or at least, those are the things that are staying there in the UK for now ;) With me on this journey now I have clothes, computer, books and some foods...and well, perhaps when next I find myself in the UK and look at those objects remaining in the attic, I’ll find the impulse to release even more of them – we’ll see ;) For now I’m very happy with the point things have come to and am happy to be moving on again with such clarity...and in the direction of the Monarch and coconuts ;) lol...YAY :)

on November the 27th I had:

1 quart water
little mug of rooibus tea
2 cups veggie juice: celery, spinach, kale, carrot, Jersusalam artichoke, ginger
2 cups energy soup with flax crackers and okra, followed by goji/carob yumballs
3 cups water
2 cups veggie juice: celery, spinach, kale, carrot, Jersusalam artichoke, ginger
cup of ‘wild power’ tea
plate of raw potluck food: greeeen/sprout salad with dips, followed by chia/pomegranate pudding and chocolate treats – yummmm :)
cup of rooibus tea
3 cups water

OooOooooo, here’s a yummy little news nugget I saw recently in Brighton’s Wave magazine: the UK Environment Agency has created a help pack to encourage and help people in London to create green roofs on buildings. LOVE IT :) I first consciously encountered green/living roofs when I lived at the Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) in Wales. For anyone who isn’t familiar with them, it basically means creating a living, breathing, thriving, grassy community on your rooftop :) It’s a way of adding masses of extra greeeeeen space into communities, more space for bugs and other tiny people to live and commune, more places to lay in the grass in the sun, more insulation for buildings, more space for pretty flowers to grow and so on...yummy. For more info on creating such a space, visit the Environment Agency site here:
www.environment–agency.gov.uk/greenroofs
We would LOVE to see pictures of your thriving green roofs, if you have any to share ;)

on November the 28th I had:

1 quart water
little mug of rooibus tea
2 cups energy soup with crackers on the side, followed by a little leftover goji/pomegranate pudding
little mug of rooibus tea
1 quart water
1 quart veggie juice – celery, cucumber, kale, fennel, ginger, endive, carrot
2 fuyu persimmons
2 cups water

on November the 29th I had:

1 quart water
little mug of rooibus tea
1.5 quarts veggie juice: celery, cucumber, kale, fennel, ginger, endive, carrot
1 tsp wheatgrass powder
mug of rooibus tea
1.5 cups greeeen veggie juice
yummy raw meal at Manna in Brighton – raw ‘tortilla’ with salad & guacamole, followed by raw chocolate cake and ice cream – YUMM
3 cups water

OOoOooooo, did you hear the interview Kevin Gianni recently put up with Steve Pavlina? LOVE IT :) Awwwwww, two such kind, open–hearted, healthy, loving men sharing an hour’s discussion on self–development and finding/enjoying your life path – I thought it was very yummy...and SO insightful too. I just LOVE the way Steve’s logic seems to work, while at the same time his heart seems totally engaged. He is so SO clear – it’s like truth, simplicity and clarity seem to just effortlessly flow through him and out into the world... He has some outstanding info to share in this interview about offering VALUE to other people, while doing smthg that you love. I think that’s so beautiful...it’s not abt focusing on how to make MONEY from doing smthg you love – rather how to offer true VALUE to other people, then the money just flows, like any energy...I love that...you can listen to the interview on Kevin’s site HERE. THANKS, guys, for sharing this lovely info... Steve just finished a 30–Day Juice Feast too – WOW – go Steve :) He had a pretty intense journey with it, mostly emotionally – you can read his recent summary of that on his blog HERE.
ENJOY :)
All love,

Food Matters...

I’m back in England now…aaaahhhhhhhh, England...so nice to walk back into a country where I don’t need to think about whether I need a visa, or an onward ticket somewhere...time to give my passport a bit of a rest... ;) Mr Monarch is back in the US for a wee while = :(
My journey back here was over 24 hours long and I’m still kind of spun out from it...I am charmed by the sunny ‘spring’ greenery of this country though and it’s nice to see stone fruits and berries again, along with the little goodies growing in my parents’ garden, like organic lettuces, cucumbers, tomatoes and even a thriving fig tree that I gifted my mum many moons ago...
On the way back here, I read a collection of articles in ‘AsiaNews’ magazine about the current ‘food crisis’ worldwide. The theme was primarily about the decline in availability of rice, as the major staple food of Asia and the issue of what to substitute for rice...I was somewhat saddened and alarmed to see that the main alternative being suggested was potatoes... ??? After having just been in Thailand where we were totally overwhelmed by the amount of fruit we saw – SO much durian hanging from trees and stacked in warehouses for example that it seemed impossible there could even be enough people to eat it all – it seems very odd to me to apparently ignore that and head towards planting up masses of spuds instead, which according to the articles, many people in Asia do not really like anyway... Hmmmm, very curious... I wonder if the Anastasia books have been translated yet into Chinese, Japanese, Thai or any other major Asian language...I hope so...imagine the impact that COULD be seen if people all over just that region of the world (let alone the rest of it), instead of fretting over the apparent lack of food, were willing/able to get to a piece of land and start growing their own fruits, veggies and whatever else jingles their jangles...

on May the 23rd I had:

1 quart water
2 cups celery/spinach/cucumber/lettuces/parsley/carrot juice
2 cups green smoothie: banana/romaine lettuce
3 little persimmons
1 quart water
romaine wraps stuffed with wakame seaweed, avocado, sprouts, pumpkin seeds & arugula leaves
2 quarts water
water of 2 young coconuts

I’m VERY excited to announce a new film that is going to released very soon called ‘Food Matters’ – have you seen the trailer for it yet? It looks AMAZING to me – especially for showing to doubting relatives, sceptics, people who tend to live in their left-hemispheres and so on ;) It is a full-length, professional documentary about how modern, ‘industrial’, processed foods are basically killing people and showing how we can all make healthier, simpler choices. There are interviews with all kinds of ‘experts’ in this field, including David Wolfe :) Wonderful stuff – raw food thankfully has a strong voice in this film, spreading this simple, healing message even further.
This film looks set to be HUGE – think smthg along the lines of ‘What the Bleep’, or ‘The Secret’, yet in food terms :) It seems to be aimed at the ‘mainstream’ too, which is so exciting, to think how many new minds will now be getting exposed to this information with this film – and hopefully in a way that will seem accessible and not too ‘far out’ ;) LOL...I think it’s a very exciting project – it is due for release in just a few days, on May the 30th – in the meantime, you can see the trailer HERE – ENJOY (watch out for Wolfie getting almost the last word... ;)

on May the 24th I had

1 quart water
slice of cantaloupe melon
½ a gorgeous fresh pineapple
3 cups water
plate of jack fruit, mango & papaya
3 cups water
meat of a young coconut
3 cups water
baby spinach leaves, wakame seaweed, sprouts, pumpkin seeds
2.5 quarts cucumber/celery/apple/ginger juice
2 cups water
