Simply Raw Bliss ;)

WOW – a couple of nights ago we watched the new ‘Simply Raw’ DVD, which follows 6 diabetics as they reverse this condition naturally, with raw food, at the Tree of Life centre in Arizona. I was SOOOOOOO happy to finally see this documentary – it has been a long time coming and it was definitely worth the wait ;)
I found myself nodding my head, laughing out loud, exclaiming ‘YES’, ‘WOW’ and so on countless times throughout the 90-minute presentation. It is SO gratifying and exciting to see six people who have all been told that they will be ‘on their medication for life’ not only COME OFF all allopathic meds, but also lose weight, shift through emotional stumbling blocks, get more physically active and start SHINING with healthy skin and eyes...in just 30 days...
I am very excited to see the impact this film will have in the world...diabetes is at pandemic levels now and this film clearly shows how easily it CAN be reversed, if people are willing to let go of that ever-sticky relationship to processed ‘foods’ and eat more simply, moving more into alignment with nature...
There is a fabulous part at the end of the film where one of the participants goes back to her home community and visits her doctor there, who is so bowled over by her recovery that he announces smthg along the lines of ‘wow – how do we ship ALL of my patients out to Arizona for treatment?’. LOVE it ;) I sit here grinning just relaying this story – OoooOoOooo it’s so exciting when people get the message and pass it on – love it, love it, love it... You can get hold of a copy of Simply Raw HERE to enjoy for yourself and hopefully share with many loved ones (after all, who DOESN’T know someone dealing with diabetes or obesity...? ;) Gabriel Cousens also released the accompanying book ‘There is a Cure for Diabetes’ recently, which would surely be another very wise investment for anyone currently dancing with diabetes issues ;) You can see that book HERE.
ALL blessings for the amazing, unfolding healing of all ;)

on September the 14th I had:

1 quart water
1 quart veggie juice: celery, cucumber, kale, lettuce, zucchini, carrot juice
2 cups green smoothie: peaches, spinach, lettuce, water
handful of blackberries
a little avocado with a yellow bell pepper, dulse seaweed and a little sunflower seed pate, followed by a little bowl of hazelnut butter mixed with lucuma powder, maca powder and carob powder
1 quart water
1.5 tbsp wheatgrass powder
tbsp of yummy mixture: almond butter with lucuma and carob powders
3 cups water

As those of you who shop at the RawReform Store may know, we are extremely blessed to have a WONDERFUL customer service rep named Lindsey :) ...and if you were at Raw Spirit Fest this weekend in Arizona, you may well have met the lovely Lindsey at our booth :) Recently she sent through this great quote – thought I’d pass it on – very sweet ;)
THANKS, Lindsey, we love you :)

"One farmer says to me, 'You cannot live on vegetable food solely, for it furnishes nothing to make bones with'; and so he religiously devotes a part of his day to supplying his system with the raw material of bones; walking all the while he talks behind his oxen, which, with vegetable-made bones, jerk him and his lumbering plough along in spite of every obstacle."
~Henry David Thoreau, Where I Lived And What I Lived For.

on September the 15th I had:

1 quart water
2.5 cups green juice: cucumber, ginger and lemon with all kinds of greens straight from the garden: kale, chard, lettuces, cabbage, dandelion, nettles, mint – WOW ;)
2 cups energy soup with coconut chips stirred in and a flax cracker on the side, followed by a little bowl of hazelnut butter mixed lucuma, carob and maca powders
3 cups water
fresh fruit picked straight from the garden: raspberries, strawberries, blackberries and Italian plums
2 cups water

I am feeling SO blessed right now...I am back in Victoria, BC, staying with the family of the gorgeous Katrina Rainoshek, whose equally-yummable sister Heather has just recently opened a raw café here, called Café Bliss (very appropriately named – I’ll be speaking there this Wednesday, the 17th – details HERE ;).
This house and garden where I’ve been welcomed to stay are AMAZING: a living, loving, vibrant food forest and I am SO enjoying it...nothing compares to walking out into the garden barefoot, gathering nutrient-packed, organic, loved-up greens by hand with gratitude and then welcoming them into my body...today I also had a meal of fresh seasonal fruits, straight from the bushes/trees – absolutely DIVINE...this is EXACTLY the kind of set-up I was envisioning when I wrote last time about how wonderful it will be to go out for a walk and all around you are ‘domains’ of lush edible gardens... Well, this is one family who are definitely living the dream already and I am very grateful to share this beautiful space with them for a few days – thanks, guys :)

MUAH,
All love,
