WIN a copy of "Raw Food: A Complete Guide" :)

This month we are *very* excited to be able to offer a free copy of the fabulous new raw recipe book "Raw Food: A Complete Guide For Every Meal of The Day" by the lovely Erica Palmcrantz from Sweden :) Erica actually helped set up a raw food talk for us some time back in Sweden...apparently things are expanding more and more with the raw movement in Sweden and Erica has now published this beautiful book in English, to add to her previous raw book in Swedish :)

If *you* would love to be the glowing recipient of this beautiful new full-colour raw recipe book, just send in your answer to the following question, to angela@rawreform.comThis e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it :

"If you were to win this book, who would you love to prepare a special meal for with these recipes...and why? :)"

Send in your answers by October the 1st to be in with a chance of winning...the winner shall be chosen at random and with delight shortly thereafter...and the book will be sent out to the winner anywhere in the world, directly from Sweden - enjoy ;) To learn more about this book in the meantime, see HERE...

One reader, Liz Williams, has a non-smoking room booked at the conference hotel with two queen beds and she's looking to share the room with someone for the weekend. The room is reserved for four nights (Thursday 23rd through Sunday 26th) and if *you* would like to connect to Liz about sharing this room, you can reach her on 303-638-5388 or juicefeaster@earthlink.net.

Also, we hear that there are now *very* few tickets left for the conference, so if you haven't yet booked your tix and would love to be there, jump on over HERE to reserve your spaces now...see you there :)

WOW...I guess you guys *love* Ani Phyo as much as we do :) Last month's RawReform giveaway contest to win a copy of Ani's latest book had the biggest response we've EVER seen for a contest ;) Love it...

We asked you to send in your A to the following Q to be in with a chance of winning: "What is *your* 'essential' raw food recipe that you love to make?" and you responded by the 100s to let us in on your raw kitchen tips and favourites...
I am delighted to say that the winner of the book, chosen at random, is Kyoko, who sent in the following recipe:

"My name is Kyoko, and I have been on a 100% raw food diet since January, 2009, and I've learned a lot about preparing simple, tasty, wonderful raw food meals for myself and for my house mates.

My essential raw food recipe is the 'Buckwheat Crispy' treats I eat as snacks and on my travels.  I'm sure a lot of raw food eaters are familiar with this type of simple recipe.
All the ingredients are organic.

2 cups Hulled Buckwheat
1/2 C.  pumpkin seeds
1/2 C.  sunflower seeds
1/2 C.  each of Golden raisins, Goji berries, and Inca berries
optional:  seasonal fruits of your choice

Soak buckwheat and seeds in a bowl over night.  Rinse it and drain the water.  Let them sprout for a day or two as you rinse a few more times in between.

Soak the raisins and berries in a glass jar.

Put the sprouted mixture in the dehydrator for 5 - 8 hours depending on how dry you'd like.  They will come out very crispy and crunchy.  Offer a small portion to God (I call him, 'Baba'), and put it back in the big batch.  Store the mixture in a glass jar.

For enjoying as a morning cereal or afternoon snack, I add the soaked raisins and berries on top, some protein powder, Chlorella, cinnamon powder (about a teaspoon!), some
Himalayan salt, a banana or a ripe avocado (both if I am really in the mood) and some chunks of coconut butter.  If I wanted to take more liquid in a day, I put warm water and let everything soak for half an hour or more.  I mix everything and it looks like a big green goo which tastes more like an ice cream treat!

This has been my staple for a quick meal, in between snack or at the airport.  I have shared this recipe with non-raw food eaters, and everyone loves it!  It's easy to make and very enjoyable.

Thank you for all you do, Angela!

All love and revolutionary refinement...
