H 2 Oooooooooooooooooo...

Hello :)
Here’s a question that came in recently:

What type of water do you use? I use R.O. (Reverse Osmosis) water. But a lot of books recommend distilled water, which is much more expensive, unless one has a distiller. I was curious to know -- with all the different places to which you travel -- if you do something special with your water? Ricki

Thanks Ricki :) Ok...personally, I’m not very ‘particular’ about which type of clean water I drink – spring/reverse osmosis/distilled/artesian etc – as long as it feels ‘pure’ to me, I’m happy. My first choice is water straight from source, out in nature...that feels VERY different to me than anything from a bottle that’s been sealed...even if it is a glass bottle ;) Bottled water hasn’t been moving around in air and in contact with anything very natural. At the moment we have a huge water container that we keep re-filling at a reverse osmosis water station. I made a special ‘necklace’ for the water bottle with beautiful words hanging from it like ‘peace’, ‘love’ and ‘blessed’, which we hang round the neck of the bottle each time it’s refilled. I like to let the water know we appreciate it :) We are also very blessed to actually have a FANTASTIC water supply to the taps (faucets) of this house – no chlorine or other nasties, so that feels good to shower in... Usually, unless I’m somewhere like Iceland, you’re highly unlikely to see me drink anything that has come from a tap (faucet). At a real push I’ll drink water from one of those little water jug filters...after a good blessing ;) Mr Monarch on the other hand is a HUGE fan of distilled water. He says ‘it magnetises inorganic minerals left in the system from spring water (among other things) and transports them out of your system. It is void of everything except H2O.’ He loves a bit of it. Dr. Norman Walker recommended distilled, as indeed do many - Walker wrote a great book about it all actually - 'Water Can Undermine Your Health'. That book was in fact one of the first gifts the Monarch ever gave me...lol...hmmmm...I guess I like to just be a bit of a water rebel...I can imagine we might end up owning a distiller at some point though when we live somewhere for more than a few months at a time...

on January the 2nd I had:

3 cups water
2 cups tatsoi/celery/mizuna/cucumber/radish/fennel/romaine/apple juice
1 mango
slice of the Monarch pizza, ½ an avocado, sliced tomato, lime juice, Himalayan salt, flax cracker
3 cups water
1 pint tatsoi/celery/mizuna/cucumber/radish/fennel/romaine/apple juice
bowl of leftover raw pudding (dried apricots/figs, hemp seed, tahini, sliced banana/cherries)
2 cups water
1 mango
2 cups water

On the subject of water, the RAINS here at the moment are...like, BIBLICAL, man ;) We’re talking 40 days and nights territory...it has very literally been raining almost constantly for perhaps a week now – I’ve lost track – it’s quite extraordinary...where does it all COME from? Interesting as well in a country that is technically in drought, to be living in such a constant deluge...the ground here is saturated – it seems it can’t take any more and the streets run like streams at the sides...wow...I did a private raw food prep class last night with a gathering of lovely friends – one of the women said when she moved to this area on the East Coast nine years ago, it rained like this, almost constantly for 9 MONTHS...amazing...and it doesn’t look likely to stop anytime soon, by all accounts...ho-hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...might start piecing together an ark...

on January the 3rd I had:

3 cups water
1 pint tatsoi/celery/mizuna/cucumber/radish/fennel/romaine/apple juice
½ a green mamey
2 cups water
bowl of sea spaghetti with pumpkin seed butter, fresh tomato and flax crackers
2 cups water
1 cup banana/mango/mizuna/romaine/kale green smoothie
romaine wraps with sunflower seed/basil/sundried tomato/garlic spread, avocado, diced tomatoes, grated carrot/cucumber, pumpkin seeds
piece of ‘chocolate’ pie – macadamia/fig/coconut flour base, filling of banana/black sapote/cinnamon/chia, topped with banana pieces
3 cups water

Oooo la la, seems that charismatic King of Cacao, Dr Wolfe, has been flaunting his wares on ‘E Entertainment’…which is apparently a very popular US entertainment show...exciting :) Bringing raw food to the masses...he can be seen spreading the good word this Saturday – January 5th – on E Entertainment at 5pm EST in a 2 HOUR special on diet and nutrition. It seems that if you don’t have access to a TV, it might be possible to watch online at www.eonline.com... I hope so :) Enjoy :)

Incalculable joy to you,
Angela. xxx
